Verizon Wireless Broadband Service is grossly overpriced and completely unreliable Staten Island New York

I'm going to add my negative experience to the ever growing pile of complaints about Verizon Wireless Broadband(What a joke!!!) service.

From the day I started using them they almost never provide the speed they advertise even on a strong signal. I say "almost never" because there have been times where the speed has been as fast as they claim (600Kbps - 1.2Mbps) but these times are few, far between and exasperatingly short. This proves that they can provide their advertised speed but they choose to do it just enough to anger the customers.

I have also read numerous complaints that Verizon Wireless limits their advertised "Unlimited" service. They started by arbitrarily cancelling the accounts of high bandwidth usage cusomers. I believe that hey have now chosen to limit the bandwidth to far below their advertized rates (200Kbps average) and they no longer offer their "Unlimited" plan. They've replaced it with a 5 Gigabyte limited plan for the same price. How many people now days use only 5 Gigabytes of data transfer on this heavily multimedia internet. I can run that out in less than a week!

I've been a Verizon customer for about a year now and I'm extremely aggravated that I have to wait another year before I can cancel this account without paying an early termination fee, something that Verizon has a lot of nerve charging considering the fact that they are constantly in breach of their own contract. It's become extremely obvious to me that customer satisfaction isn't even a concern to Verizon.

I'm saying all this in the hopes that people who are considering using Verizon Wireless Broadband service will see it and decide to look for another plan with another company. I myself will be switching to a Cable TV internet access when I finally get rid of Verizon. That is unless another company starts offering fiber optic service. Verizon can stuff their FiOS service, along with their wireless broadband, in a dark smelly hole!
