very nice pools in lafayette CA has wronged us in multiple ways. I hope that this helps other consumers not fall into Paul's trap- they are a horrible decietful company

First, the rip off- I had a small repair job on my pool pump. I was quoted $475 from paul after an insp[ection and just went ahead with the job to get it done. later I was told at another local pool store they would do this job for $125 - OK, my fault for not checking first but i have been charged 4x what the job should have cost!!!

THEN, turns out the job was done incorrectly- the pool tech that came mistakenly re-installed my broken part instead of a new one, so all he did was put some sealant on and leave for that $475. when i got home and realised this- i called very nice pools and explained i would not pay for this till it was odne right. they were kind and sent another guy ouit to fix it. He did the job correctly and i thought that was that.

the next week i get another bill in the mail not only for this guys "hour of labor" when i was told it would be freee since it was a redo of a messed up job!- they have the balls to charge me a FINANCE CHARGE because i was "late" paying for the job. I was late because the job wasnt completed and i TOLD them i wouldnt pay till it was done correctly. I wrote them a letter explaining the ludicrous nature of this second bill, and stioll continue to get repeat bills for it!

experience #2: I was out of town for 2 weeks. I spoke top paul about maintenance, and he said they charge $150/mo for maintenance and for 2 weeks would be $75, or half the months fee. I agreed

i CAME HOME LATER TO FIND OUT THE FOLLOWING:
a) they had only come ONE TIME, not 2
b) because of this pool was cloudy and dirty!
c) a bill in my mailbox for $110!!!

so again, already annoyed i paid them the agreed $75, and they continue to send me billls for the rest

#3- i keep recieving a mystery bill for $128. this is neither for a job i have reequested or had completed. It is also dated at a time i was not living in this house for a month and a half. I have contacted "donna" in the office about this and get no response.

end of story- I will never use them again, and i hope that noone else does either- I refuse to pay these phantom bills they keep sending me and feel completely lied to and ripped off by this scammer of a company
