*Consumer Comment: R.E. Hunter's rebuttal is false - the North Carolina Real Estate Commission is a corrupt agency that protects dishonest brokers every single time unless it is a major crime.
*Consumer Comment: Ralph Hunter Retaliated Against Me When I Filed Complaint Against Him
*Consumer Comment: RE Hunter: Shiester
*REBUTTAL Individual responds: Complaint was filed with the state and found to be false
Ralph Hunter is a poor excuse for a professional. I feel like his mentality is stuck in middle school. This guy will call you names and yell at you instead of trying to talk it out and resolve the issue. This just makes it worse, and makes people create listings such as this one. This guy is bad at managing real estate. He will not do what he says he will. Also expect to get some delinquent bills that you have to pay becuase he is not doing his job. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE THAT WONT GO AWAY. STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM THEM AS POSSIBLE.
You will thank me later

Read the posts on ripoffreport.com about the North Carolina Real Estate Commission and you will see that many people have said that the NCREC does everything it can to protect dishonest real estate brokers. So R.E. Hunter's rebuttal saying that the state of North Carolina found the complaint to be false is a joke since the NCREC comes to the exact same result from obvious violations of law. And even when the law says that a real estate brokers license shall be terminated, the NCREC won't terminate it ONLY BECAUSE THEY WANT TO COLLECT AS MUCH MONEY IN LICENSING FEES AS POSSIBLE. The NCREC does not protect the public. It only protects its cash flow of licensing fees.

Ralph Hunter Retaliated Against Me When I Filed Complaint Against Him

I agree with the first report. Ralph Hunter is out of control. After I filed a complaint against him, he retaliated and said he was going to report me for identity theft. He then harassed me and left messages telling me that since I have gone "head to head" with him, he was going to destroy me and make criminal complaints against me. He also told me in these messages that I should kill myself. He also used profanity. My complaint against him is simple because his lease violates the law. But he acts like a wild rabid animal.

I affirm the original complaint. R.E. Hunter thinks his job is to collect checks. He communicates like he's still in junior high and his incompetence is Of Titanic proportion. I wouldn't let him rent your property. Much better rental alternatives in North Carolina.

In this situation we made a mistake by not first researching the situation and properties before accepting them into our program. We have since changed our policy to looking closer into owners and properties before accepting. We have a clear cut policy of treating people fair and reasonably. Our philosophy is discussed on our website. Issues such as not repairing heating and air, or treating for bed bugs that were present when a tenant moved in, are not the kind of things we are willing to accept. We have an email from him that states if someone files suit, he'll simply declare bankruptcy and start fresh. We have a box full of documentation regarding the nightmare this turned out to be. We always try to be fair, and in the long run this works to everyone's advantage except those who believe the law and common decency do not apply to them. We also feel it's important for fairness to VRE that we point out most of these properties ended up short sold or in foreclosure within a year. That would explain lack of desire to make repairs as required by law.
Most importantly the owner filed complaints with the BBB (still there to be viewed) and the state of NC, both of which found his claims to be totally false. If there were merrit we'd have lost our license and we have been doing good honest business for nearly 10 years with excellent growth.
