Victory Van Lines Interstate Movers, Victory Movers Overcharged estimate, delivered past quoted delivery date Rockville, Maryland
*Consumer Comment: Federal Law`
*REBUTTAL Owner of company: Victory Van Lines is great moving company
Our in-house estimate ended up being 2000 lbs. UNDER our actual weight. We apparently signed a form saying we agree to pay the actual weight, even though there is a federal law you should never pay 10% over the in house estimate.
The movers showed up 30 minutes late on move out day, and only packed things carefully when we were watching them. They labeled everything wrong. My computer desk was stripped and I could no longer use it.
We were told our items would be delivered in 14 days. Their truck broke down twice. When we tried to contact Victory about the added delay, he was impossible to get a hold of.

The regulation you refer to actually says that the moving company can only collect the estimate plus 10% at delivery and then bill you for the balance within 30 days. Unless you get a binding estimate, you are responsible for the actual weight.

Victory Van Lines is a great moving company with absolutely No Ripoff practice. If a delay occur during this client relocation process we do apologies deeply and as well the client accepted a compensation in the amount of 225$, the delivery window end it up on the 23 and we deliver her belongings on the 25 which is 2 days delay and we pay $112.00 per night for a nice hotel.
Our Company never had and will never Do rip off business, and I have no idea why this report appears on this web site. There was 2-3 damaged items for which we apologies but storing staff for 3-4 months(around 11 000 lbs/4 Bedroom house) loading and unloading it twice and we have 2 damaged item that both values is less than 100$ speaks very well of how much we care about our clients staff.Victory van Lines did almost 99% of the packing. The weight went up only 1600lbs and this is because the client supposed to sell the basement staff that never happened.
This Rip Off report is Completely wrong and me and my company will seek justice . Victory Van Lines does Not have such a practice. The delay for a broken truck, damaged item, and client adding more weight has Nothing to do with Rip Off Practicing like other moving Companies. We move 2500 families per year and we have A rating with BBB
