Beware of Vip Airsoft/Vanguard Airsoft. If you are allowing your minors to play airsoft there you may be in for a big suprise when you find out that they record the games and load video clips mocking children. We took our children to play and asked the referees why they were allowing the filming of the children. The referees claimed that no videos were allowed.

When asking the guys recording the kids we were told they were recording for the owners pleasure. These guys followed the minor boys around (who were new to the sport) and recorded them making mistakes. This has placed our children in a very negative situation and I suggest to everyone who is seeking a place to have fun with their children to find anothe rplace that does not place your childrens safety at risk.

I have contacted Vip Airsoft/Vangaurd Airsoft a multitude of times and have never received a response. They actually encourage this sick practice to help drive traffic to their store. They are running contests online encouraging this practice! Note: We did contact YouTube and the videos were taken down very quickly however the videos came up again. Obvisouly Vip Airsoft/VanGuard Airsoft's relentless pursuit of traffic and money has priotity over the well being of their players!  Please beware of this practice of placing children at risk physically, mentally, and emotionally!

Take care!

Axe to Grind ??

AUTHOR: BryanB - ()

POSTED: Friday, December 19, 2014

We have only seen one email from this guy David who has only attended our arena once and son twice - per our check-in procedure in the last 2 years. Every player is required to fill out a waiver yearly. In the waiver there is a section regarding Media release.

He claims there is a video that he doesnt like and that he has flagged it on You-Tube but continually gets placed back up.. Our business You-Tube channel has the only  videos sanctioned by us. We have one part-time photo/video person who is a ASU grad that does the videos and photos for birthday parties, special events, equipment reviews etc. All videos are reviewed by our staff before going on our business you-tube channel - none of our videos have ever been flagged for violations - nor has anyone ever asked to have us remove a video.

Our facility is public place for patrons of airsoft to have a fun and friendly time in a safe place to play. We have a number of referees that watch and manage the game play to the best of their ability.  Some of the participants may attach a Go-Pro type camera to their helmet to record their play during a match. This has not been a problem because all participants while playing have full-face protection - thus obscuring their face. Alot of times the players will use these videos to help track down players that are not following the rules or safety procedures and/or help their team learn better communication skills etc. I have never heard of any player deliberately following new players to make fun of them !! I have asked my staff if they know of anyone practicing this type of behavior - They cannot think of anyone doing this on purpose either..

The video in question - I have NEVER seen nor provided the link to it to know if it even exists. If such video does exist it was done by a 3rd-party particpant and NOT one of my staff. I would imagine if he were to contact the player involved he/she would remove the video for him. Also - If he had not threatened legal action right off the bat - I would be glad to help him in identifying this video if it has inappropriate scenes/info we could contact the player in question and ask KINDLY to have it be removed. Again as with any business please see the manager on duty if you have any concerns. The Referees may be very busy getting the games flowing and watching for 'safety' violations.

In terms of being 'greedy' business person - He doesn't know us very well... On our website we have a whole list of non-profit organizations, churches, schools that we have given back to.. We have been doing our part in giving back to our community for years.

We have been in business for over 11 years and have never had such a complaint as this. We are an A+ rated company by the BBB and are upstanding members in the Gilbert Chamber of Commerce. - We have had thousands of happy patrons each year come to our facility. Certainly I only encourage our players to have fun and be respectful towards each other, the staff and the rules of airsoft. In light of this, we will be reviewing our policies regarding 3rd-party video-photography at the arena.

If anyone has any concerns regarding this or any other issue - please contact me directly at 480-507-9420 and ask for Bryan.
