Virtual Investing Club By Jesse Webb & Rawlings Did not honour commitments & hide critical billing clauses in hyperlinks Internet
*Consumer Comment: Read the Terms - They are very Clear
Before you type in your credit card details, it mentions that the credit card will be only billed "one time" and states that if one is not completely satisfied, a refund will be arranged. This is naturally just baloney.
They hide the clause of there being an automatic billing after the initial trial in a "Terms & Condition" link and once you cancel future transactions by terminating the credit card, they send you an email stating that they will not refund due to the manner of termination.
Needless to say, the material you receive as "free" can easily be obtained from the internet and their hit rate for successful trades is very poor.

Read the Terms - They are very Clear

Read the terms they are spelled out quite clearly.
You get billed after 30 days for the book. If you don't want it send it back and you don't get billed. After 30 days you have 11 months to return it to get a refund if you don't like the material. That is a pretty good deal. Did this guy even make an attempted at a return? Part the the offer is a trial to the stock and option picks, the terms state clearly you can cancel within the 45 day trial.
This
is far from any kind of scam from my experience. You have to enter your credit
card to order the information, I don't just blindly NOT read the
terms and conditions. Its pretty simple to click a link to scan one paragraph
of terms to see if there is a auto billing component to the offer. Its really
not uncommon on these kind of offers. I buy them all the time. I actually have
the service and have used it for the past 6 months. The stock picks have really been quite good and the book, while not
rocket science gave me a few useful tid bits to add to my quiver of trading
info. So for what its worth folks, wake up and read the terms when you buy
anything. I don't really think its fair to blame these guys for your own lack
of research. Even good old time magazine and the like give you the
freebees then start an auto billing. Let us all just use some common sense when
ordering online.
There's nothing wrong with this company or service. Its pretty strait forward, has some good tools. There is a ton of education videos on the site I went through. I think some people have just gotten bent out of shape because when buying the book the subscription service is also offered as a 45 day free trial which starts an auto billing cycle if its not canceled. I remember the terms being plastered on everything, the order confirm page the welcome email etc. I honestly didnt feel like it was hidden. to cancel you only have to send an email so that is not a big deal.
The trades I have experiences are quite good, and there are some trade specifics that I dont think can be found for free online. I think the Singapore guy just wasn't willing to go through the process. I don't know why he needed to cancel the credit card when a simple phone call would have probably worked. Come on folks, Read the terms. Its not that hard. Fine print is not a new concept.
