A Sales Representative from Vivint comes to my house.  His name is Aaron Lee.  He goes on and on about giving me all this free stuff if I allow them to place a sign in my yard.

 
After an elaborate sales pitch and a lot of enthusiasm, he stated that I had up to 30 days to cancel the agreement if I was not happy.  He went on and on about how this system will save me in utility bills, etc.  Then came the fact that the monthly fee is $68.99 per month.

The only reason I agreed to this contract was because he was very convincing about the 30 day cancellation policy and the fact that I would get all my money back if I cancelled.

Just two days later I notified Vivint that I wanted to cancel and get my money back.
Again on Day 19.
Again on Day 22.
Again on Day 28.
Again on Day 29.
And, on Day 30 I receive a voice mail from Aaron Lee stating that there is nothing I can do because it's been 30 days and I'm "into my agreement now".

"30 Day Cancellation" is really 3 (Three) Days

After I contacted the Better Business Bureau, Vivint's Legal Department responded stating that any Cancellation Request must be submitted in writing within 3 (Three) Days of Signing the Contract.

Since I had submitted an email within 2 (Two) Days (and had proof that it was sent), they have agreed to "allow" me out of the contract.

I wish everyone could have heard the "Shock and Awe" in the Sales Representative's voice when he said, "They're going to let you out? How Did You Do That?"

Said Sales Rep has also asked me more than once to remove his name from this report.

My opinion is that perhaps he should work for a more honest company if he's so concerned about his reputation.

I am, however, still waiting for the removal of the equipment and the refund of my money.
