DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM.

They sold me a lens that was "like new" which was had significant wear, scratches, was not working correctly (autofocus and filter ring), and was missing parts. Upon first email to them for a refund, accused me of lying saying "You obviously dropped it and are abusing Amazons generous return policy. Since the lens was shipped and received in good order, we will not be issuing a refund"

They did not honor their stated return policy (and contractual with amazon) and were rude, insulting, and unprofessional.

Buyer attempting to return item that they used and damaged

AUTHOR: John @ VSSoutlet - (USA)

POSTED: Monday, August 29, 2016

We gave this customer permission to return the item as per the marketplace policy. However, we believe that this is a fraudulent return attempt. The facts of this return are:

  • Customer submits a "not as described" claim for severe damage almost 30 days after receiving the item.
  • No reasonable person would buy an expensive item, sign for it and not check it upon receipt for damage.
  • We have detailed photos of the item taken shortly before the buyers purchase. They depict a pristine item completely devoid of the damage claimed by the buyer.  We also show the serial number of the lens, proving that we did not photograph one lens and ship another.
  • Buyer did not submit photos of the damaged item as we requested.
  • The item (a camera lens) was wrapped lavishly in bubble wrap. Since the lens was capped and tightly wrapped, the damage claimed by the buyer could not have been caused by shipper mishandling.
  • The damage described by the buyer in their return request is consistent with a photographer dropping the lens. If the lens was as-pictured when shipped, the only possible explanation for the damage described by the buyer is mishandling on their part.

In the nearly seven year history of our business, we have never once opposed a valid return request. In fact, we have approved many that were not valid in the interests of providing excellent customer service and preserving our good reputation. However, abuse of the most generous return policies increases costs for all consumers. If, once we receive this return, we see obvious evidence of returns policy abuse, we will defend our good name and any claims submitted by the buyer.

VSSoutlet is 100% committed to customer service, as evidenced by our over 2,500 satisfied customers worldwide.
