On July 25, 2007 this company contacted my husband and told him that they had obtained a lender for his loan request of $7000.00. In order to receive the funds he first had to wire a security payment for $829.68 through money gram to John A. Matthews. After doing this on July 28, 2007 the funds would be in his account on August 1.

When the funds were not deposited in his account, he called Jonathan Wilcox(Senior Loan Consultant) to find out what was happening. At first he was told that the lender did not know that he was a new client and that was why there was a hold on the deposit. He said that they knew he was a new client because he received emails from Yvonne Miller (Manager of New Accounts) welcoming him.

Then on August 2 he was told that the checking account information was not letting them deposit the funds. When he checked his emails he received this

"This is to advise you that we have encountered a minor setback with regards to finalizing your loan for $7,000. After further review your private lender, has requested that you purchase basic insurance, at the very least, prior to releasing your loan. This matter should have been brought to your attention when the terms of your loan were discussed. The policy premium required for Basic Coverage is $560.00.

Once the minimum insurance coverage is purchased, will release the loan amount of $7,000 via direct deposit, plus any incidental fees you have incurred, thus far to you by the end of the next business day. However, if you do not purchase the required insurance coverage, we will retract your loan offer and Wealth Consulting Group Inc will refund your initial assurance payment via company check. In this case, you will receive a refund check within 15 business days. Your immediate action is required to ensure timely delivery of funds. I can be reached via email.

Sincerely,
Yvonne Miller
Manager of New Accounts"

He was told that Mr. Wilcox would find out what was going on and give him a call back at 9:00 a.m. on August 3. As of today he has not been able to contact anyone at the company and has not had any response to his emails.
Plus, she mentions an assurance payment he did not do the assurance coverage he sent in a security payment.
