I ordered a $2.29 cd to receive information on how to apply for a government grant. I just checked the balance in my checking account and found out there was a charge of $34.95 that I didn't know about. After speaking with a representative, I was told that Web Saver Club debited my account today. While speaking with the representative, she informed me that the $34.95 was taken out in APRIL ALSO. I hadn't even checked my April bank statement. I called the number 1-888-808-8582 and no one answered. I called several times to no avail.

I am going to my bank and filing an action against this company. Hopefully, I'll get my money back from April and also May.

Now I've got to cancel my debit card and get charged $5 for ordering another one.

Web Saver Club scammed me also

AUTHOR: Artar - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, June 02, 2009

Unfortunately I don't think that much that can be done about getting your money back. I remember when I placed an order with this company after seeing a tv ad for a free CD about obtaining grant writing. Someone from that company called a couple days later. I remember that day as that phone number tried to contact me 11 times. I will never answer phone calls like that. My wife, not knowing about these day-long phone calls answered the phone when she got home from work and I was stuck talking to them. They used an uncomprehendable, unledgible type of English by having an operator speak so fast making her impossible to understand. She had me convinced from her opening breath to listen to her and blabbered nonstop for 2-3 minutes without catching her breath. I do not remember what she said but kept asking if I would like to try this and try that. I told her at the end of the call that all I wanted was that "free" cd and nothing else and that if I agreed to anything it was because I could not understand her and that all I wanted was that free CD and nothing else. I knew right away I had been scammed and didn't bother to ever even look at the CD when it arrived (I don't even know where it is, probably threw it away). My guess is the CD must contain the "10-day money back rhetoric." Whatever the case nothing was clarified. I'm thinking that in the operator's twisted-around-English she actually got me to agree to accepting something by saying "no."
So in a way I was expecting to see some type of deduction from this company but not for $34.95. I realize there is nothing I can do but a note to this company - I am watching my account, I know when you withdraw and last month was your last month to withdraw from my account because the next time the transaction will not go through.

I wish I only had to pay $5 for a new debit card. Might cost me $25. I'm broke as it but it is worth my sanity and the inconveniences to pay for a new debit card and wait 2 weeks before I can use it again. My pride won't allow people to use me like this and Web Saver Club is done using me.
