The staff at my optometrist's office thought I was covered for their services and provided care (my card said wellpath provided vision care). Later we both found out another insurance company provides my vision care and does'nt cover this particular provider.
Pretty slick way to get around providing any services. I brought this up with my co-workers and it happens all the time. When I tried to complain directly (advising them to make the cards more clear) I was told "that happens" Also no response to the better business bureau.
