How Gap Policies Work

AUTHOR: Real - (Afghanistan)

POSTED: Wednesday, July 13, 2016

Point 1) This individual is either really ignornant or just plain stupid.

2) Gap is a policy sold by the dealership to the customer at time of autp purchase.  Owner is the purchaser of

the gap policy.

3) No on or company can cancell this policy other than the policy holder or if the auto is repoed and then the gap contract is invalid and cost charged for gap policy to that indivudual is applied the the deficit loan balance after auction of vehicle.

4) All the individual would need to do is contact the dealership to get a copy of their gap policy since they probably don't have their copy and then they can file a gap claim.

5) Gap policies have a specific clause in them that if there are past due amounts on loan, usually over 30 days, then gap wont pay for that month since per gap contracts, the loan must be kept current.

Here is another example of an ignornant individual who doesn't know or doesn't want to take the time

to find out how gap policies work.  As a famous comedian said "you cant fix stupid"...

gap

As an Insurance agent I see that this individual is ignornant of gap insurance policies.   First: gap insurance is purchased thru the car dealer at time of auto sale and has nothing to do with the lending institution other than it is financed in with thier loan.....this is a policy written by the auto dealer for the individual and can't be cancelled by a third party IE the bank.   The only person that can cancel their gap coverage is the person named on the policy and they do this at the dealership where they purchased it or by contacting the gap ins provider.

This individual sounds like some one that doesn't know what they have or how insurance works which  their responsibility to know what they have and how it works.

You Probably Wouldn't Understand

AUTHOR: Jim - (USA)

POSTED: Saturday, February 23, 2013

Due to the very obvious level of illiteracy as shown by your inablity to write even simple coherent sentences using proper construction and punctuation whatever explanation they provided is probably far beyond your understanding. In all probability your insurance was camcelled due to your non payment
