It never ceases to amaze me at the underhanded slimy tactics used by salesmen/delaerships to foist unnecessary and duplicative add ons to increase profit on a sale.

Fortunately before traveling over one hour each way to see two cars for sale I read the fine print in their ad. price does not include delaer ad ons blah blah blah . . .  So I ask on the phone before I come to see you tell me about the delar ad ons so Im not surprised if I decide to buy one of your cars?

The saleman went into a song and dance about how little profit they make in selling cars today and how theft is rampant so they install an anti-theft device for only $1795. No it isn't a LoJack. Even LoJack doesn't charge $1700. And they ad a protective film made by 3M . . . for another $695 or $795 - I don't remember I was in shock!.   Most cars have a factory installed anti-theft device at least as good as the one they have already installed. Far superior devices are available for less than half the cost. And window tinting cost IF you want darker than factory tinting, cost $50 to $75 and some will include the sunroof- but $700 ! ! ! WTF Are they buying 24k gold film from NASA?

I asked him to hold while I ran to a mirror to see if I had "sucker" stamped on my forehead. When I returned to the call, I told him his story was so convincing that I would feel guilty buing a car from him - it would be akin to theft.  I remained silent while he went into his canned reply.   Hello, hello he said repeatedly.

I thanked him for the education, then connected him to a dial tone.

Now you know what to look out for when buying a new or used car

Excellent Work, Jay!!

You were FANTASTIC! The Sleazy American Car Business is well known for the bogus fee con-games and the gross overpricing of extras. The sad fact is, the average person going they their doors is too stupid to see this and that's why the dealership slime continues to get away with this DECEPTION.

There is no sector of retail which is so heavily laden with FRAUD and DECEPTION as is the car business. If everyone was like you, these pond scum would be gone because they have zero clue as to what honesty and integrity are. You were absolutely fantastic!
