Westwood College They Got Me Too, JOKE no job placement, lies about accreditations, incompetent Program Director even talks bad about school Dallas Texas

When I was a new enrollee I needed a job they directed me to UPS, to Wal-Mart, and to Kohl's. When I graduated and needed a job the Career Development Services gave me some career builder print outs with 4 jobs that I was NOT even qualified for. Those jobs were for someone with a Bachelors Degree and 5-10 years experience. They new I was about to graduate with an Associates degree and no experience; but I called them anyway just incase there was an externship position available of course not. Of course they've never heard of Westwood College of Technology.

Did you know they changed their name to Westwood College? Why would they do that? Is it because of that National Accreditation they have, which by the way, once again, gives you all these credits that are nontransferable? Make sure you know what KIND of accreditations the school you are about to attend has.

I was naive to believe that the admissions rep was telling the truth when he said my credits would transfer to a four year college of my choice; but you don't have to be. Be aware that National accreditations are what grade schools have. Regional accreditations are what REAL colleges have such as Texas A&M or University of North Texas. If you are trying to get your basics out of the way go to one of those schools. Westwood is a waist of time.

Do your research on your own. (Hell, look everybody up on Rip-off Report.com.) Also, one way you can tell if a college is trying to rip you off, for sure, is by the number of time you get a phone calls from the admissions reps. A real college is NOT going to call you. A real college doesn't care if you start or not, because they're not getting any extra bonuses if you attend; they're certainly not going to get fired if the number of students they scam are low (unlike the poor admissions reps at Westwood College). Make those numbers low crew. Make those numbers low.

This school is insignificant to a student that is trying to make something of him or her self. I was a computer networker, and had Javier G** (((ROR REDACTED FOR SECURITY PURPOSES))) as a so called Instructor. If you ever had him as an instructor, you will notice that he really doesn't know what he is doing; but he will instruct you alright about the other instructors and directors.

For some reason Javier allows his personal vendettas to be the nature of the class discussion. When he is supposed to be lecturing, he will start gossiping about another co-worker, brain washing students to hate whoever he hates. He even shares with students about his affairs he has with other instructors. Another thing, if you're on his side you will pass, if not, you better work your butt off for that grade.

If you asked me I would recommend that he is terminated for conspiracy (for creating a mass hate for whoever he hates) (maybe I should say dictatorship instead), slander, and hell, at least write him up for being unprofessional. He is good at something though. You might as well call him the Power Point Printout Princess (PPPP) ruler of all copy machines; because he will give enough paper to keep a fireplace happy for weeks, tell you to read all the stuff he printed for you at home and lecture about how the IT department at Westwood are idiots (yet he refuses to work as a team even though technically he is a computer networker).

Believe it or not, Westwood College has made this PPPP the head of the Computer Networking department with the official name Program Director. What does that tell you about Westwood College?
