It's about time !
I just recieved a legal notice that WFS is being sued in the state of Connecticut for illegal repossession of vehicles and reselling them for less than reasonable market value and charging the client for balance .
The results of the lawsuit will enable clients who had their vehicle repossed in Connecticut to have the repossion taken off there credit report all negative equity balances set to 0 and each client will recieve a check for $575.00 for damages .
Connecticut is one of a few states that have reposession laws check your states statutes and call the attorney general in your state.

Class Action Info

Case No. 3:07-cv-00161 (CFD) (documents available from PACER.)
Conneticut has some unique state laws that WFS allegedly violated, hence the class action lawsuit in CT. A written notice of repossession must be mailed to purchaser - this is subclass A of the action and will receive $215. Repossessed vehicle's actual fair market value must be assessed towards the delinquent account (not the auctioned, actual resale amount.)-this is subclass B of the action and will receive $575.
I would note that the lead plaintiff will receive $2000. As in all class action lawsuits, the LEAD PLAINTIFF gets a substantial award and the "class" plaintiff receive a pittance.

Please provide more detail of this "Legal Notice". Such as the Court information and Case Number. If there is a web site link on this notice post that also.
I will say that if what you are posting is true you can waive good bye to banks providing car loans in CT. Because no bank will approve a loan where they basically have no recourse if you decide to turn the car back in and just walk away.
