I bought a vehicle from Wheel Deals in Sierra Vista AZ, the check engine light was on and as part of the deal the dealer said he would fix it, when the dealer found out it was the catalytic convertor and the whole thing was missing, he will not fix even knowing he signed papers stating he would fix the check engine light.
I went to the dealer and told him I was going to file a complaint with the BBB and states attorney general and he said we have nothing to talk about .
so I have filed a complaint to the BB and the States Attorney Generals office.

the check engine light is on because the sensor that connects to the missing CONVERTER (o2 sensor) has been hot wired so to speak to let the truck run, with the converter missing the light will always remain on until the converter is replaced and the sensor put back to factory specs.

"he signed papers stating he would fix the check engine light"
The check engine light is working or it would not have detected the problem. Did he sign papers that stated he would fix the catalytic converter?
