I sent this guy my money for a book about collections and how to repair my credit. I never received my book or my money back from him. I can't get a hold of the man or company anymore. I have left message after message and no return calls. I did some investigating on the internet and the man has been arrested for money laundering and fraud. I guess I should have done this first.

How are the book sales doing?

AUTHOR: Robert - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, June 25, 2009

I found an interesting article from the Lockport Union Sun & Journal from February 1, 2008.

This was a "PEOPLE PROFILE:" about you and your book and the "unconventional sales campaign" you were embarked apon to have the City of Lockport and other businesses purchase your book for $34.95 per copy.

Seems you hoped "the city would buy a copy for every resident, or at least every city employee, to start making them better consumers.""

As a tax payer, I can only say "spare me." $34.95 for your spiral bound "consumer report"-that's a tad pricey for me. The accompanying photo was nice, including this "book" of yours. In my opinion, this appears to be something done on a home computer and reproduced and bound by a local print shop, such as Kinko's, Copy Max, or the like.

I don't begrudge you for trying to capitalize on your knowledge but I don't think I want my TAX MONEY used to buy what appears to be a self-published "book."

Also from the article:

""... wrote The Fine Print from seven years of professional collection experience and backup research he did on his own. He tracked down information in books and industry publications, news articles and personal interviews with people who work in the mortgage, credit and collections industries.""

I hope your book includes a complete bibliography and gives CREDIT to the copyright holders of any copyrighted material you may have used or published data you might present. Further, I hope you obtain PERMISSION to include copyrighted material in your publication. Material from books, industry publications and news articles are COPYRIGHTED and you need to obtain permission to use such material in your work.

I have had a few works published (technical works on avionics) and I'd be pretty upset if someone used my work to write their own version of my data/ideas without giving full and proper credit.

The complete article can be found at http://www.lockportjournal.com/weeklyfeatures/local_story_032231634.html

Good luck with it.

#1 REBUTTAL Owner of company

KEEP 'EM COMING!! I KNEW THIS WOULD HAPPEN!!

AUTHOR: Watcher14094 - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, June 08, 2009

First of all, "NIT-WIT"...if you have delt with my company, there are two numbers for contact with me. And I answer all calls! Secondly, you're making an attempt to darken my company's reputation because you're upset about my recent postings about another. The book has never been advertised as one that will help you (repair) your credit, because that is not its intended purpose. You and those who put you up to this are fools in every sense of the word!! You have no idea what the book is about do you? There would be no way you could! If you sent me any money and never got your book, then make the report to your nearest police department. Take your evidence with you. You know...the cancelled check you wrote to my company. Or the money order that could easily be tracked to see if it were nogotiated by me or my company! If you sent cash, you're more of a fool than you've shown already! But be warned, IDIOT, that not only will you be prosecuted for filing a false report with the police department, my attorney will also petition the courts for your I.P. address to be tracked and you will suffer to an extent you cannot imagaine through any/all legal channels available to me! Be very careful, "WONDERBRAIN", because unless you're able to back up anything you say here or anywhere else on the net, you could face charges that no one would be able to help you out of! Oh...by the way...this has just INTENSIFIED my efforts to put much more on the net about the activities of Moreno and Woods! Ya see... I'm one who can back up what he says, because I use many different ways of getting and forwarding the information I need! Inside sources, recording devices, cell phones...what have you. Heck...YOU may be one I have smething on! Who knows? Now...for every page I see here about my company, I will write three for Moreno and Woods. And I love to type!
