I gave a $500 deposit to White Oak Labradors for a female lab in May 2016 with the promise that I would be able to pick up the dog in mid-July when I was to pay an additional $500. After I made the deposit, White Oak became evasive and nonresponsive about the pickup date. I live in Santa Fe NM and needed to make travel arrangments to pickup the dog in Justin TX.
However, White Oak never provided a pickup date and refused to return my deposit when I requested it. It did offer a male dog. When I pointed out that we had ordered a female, it refused further contact with us.

Whiteoak labradors returned our $500 deposit. The owner explained that she was having personal problems at the time of our transaction that made it difficult to respond to our contacts.
