Complaint Review: Wilmington Saving Fund - wilmington Delaware
Wilmington Saving Fund WSFS It was free checking! wilmington Delaware
*Consumer Comment: Really?
Have been a customer of this bank for many years and loved thier free checking..Bank on line always and found for the last four months a charge for service of 8 dollars. Called them up and they said they sent me a letter that I may have gotten but didn't pay any attention to since I do everything online. Think they could have made a better effort to let me know..they stole 32 dollars from me, and there is not much I can do about it. I'm on a fixed income and every dollar counts. I'm looking for a new bank..When I called them about this they didn't care.

Really?

So "every dollar counts" to you..Ummm.
If that is the case why did it take you 4 months to realize that this was happening? Since you must obvioulsy keep a register to make sure that every dollar you spent is accounted for. It then should have been a very easy catch when you reconciled your account at the end of the month to realize there was an extra $8 charge on your account that you didn't make. Oh you don't keep a register or reconcile your account...what a shock.
I really wonder what else you wanted them to do to "notify" you of this change? After all it was on your statemements for 4 months. Perhaps you would have prefered a huge neon sign on your front lawn? Perhaps they personally could have sent an employee to your house to notify you.
