After getting dropped off at the Seattle airport (SEA) and realizing I left my cell phone in the seat of the vehicle I was transported in, I was stranded and left with the obvious option of using a pay phone to inform my ride what had happened. I went to a US BANK ATM to withdrawal twenty dollars and conveniently bought a $.99 snack and exchanged one dollar for quarters.

I attempted a few times to use the 4 quarters i had gotten, as it stated on the telephone "a long distance call was just $1.00," but the phone continued to reject my coins repeatedly.

As I only have minutes before my plane boards I notice the digital reader board for the credit card prompting me to swipe my credit card. As much as I attempted to use my coins, I was desperate to contact my ride home from the airport in the situation I was in. So I swipe my card and have a quick 57 second phone call, to be exact. (At least 15 seconds was venting about how frustrating the stupid pay phone was for not taking simple quarters like any other typical pay phone.)

Later I arrive home in Portland and decide to check on my bank account and notice a charge from WiMacTel, Inc. in the amount of $33.69!!! I immediately contact them to get an explanation of the charges. I am told that there are so many different fees and charges depending on what type of phonecall is made, that they are unable to post their fees. And that my call was directed through a live operator, although I never talked to a human being, as to why my charge was so high for under one minute of their services.

As of right now I have to wait 24 hours to file for a refund via their customer service. From many complaints I have already read with this company, customers are only being refunded 50% of what they were charged.

This company is scandelous and ripping so many people off. I read that most the people affected by these chargers serve in the military, making that call to home. I'm disgusted that any facility would want this kind of conning company representing them.

I hope this report can warn people out there to not use a WiMacTel pay phone services. I would have rather asked some stranger to conveniently use their phone and explained my situation I was in had I known the unethical business tacts that WiMacTel, Inc. administrates.

This has been a terrible experience for me and I want to do everything in my power to prevent this company from taking advantage of other innocent people like myself.
