WiMacTel response to consumer allegation

AUTHOR: WiMacTel - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, August 01, 2012

WiMacTel is an operator services company; as such, we process credit card, calling card, collect and billed to third number calls.  WiMacTel does provide operator services to the pay telephone industry.  WiMacTel prides itself in being a very consumer minded Company and it is our goal to provide a product and service that meets the needs of the consumer.

Unfortunately, in business, disputes will arise from time to time.  To address these and to resolve them, WiMacTel does post its customer service information on our website (www.wimactel.com).  Any consumer that contacts us via telephone to our customer service center (888-476-0881) or e-mails us at billing@wimactel.com is met with prompt and courteous handling of their issue and an approach that strives to resolve any legitimate issues.  Based on what the consumer has stated, it appears that the customer service agent did not handle this issue in accordance with WiMacTel's guidelines; for this I apologize.

The consumer states that WiMacTel did not state how much the call was going to cost prior to it being placed and also stated that we billed for a call that was not completed.  WiMacTel offers a rate quote option on all calls; it is option 3 in our automated voice response system.  As far as billing for calls not completed, WiMacTel does not do this; we only bill when a call is answered.  When a caller places a call using a credit card, the verification process places a pre-authoriztion charge on the card account to be certain the card is valid at least up to that dollar amount.  These charges are automatically reversed and the credit appears on the account in 1-5 days, depending on the card issuing bank.

If the call was not completed and the charge has not been credited back in full, I request the consumer contact us again so we can help resolve the issue.
