Winchester Municipal Utilities WMU Made me pay extra money because Bill was one day late. Winchester Kentucky

My water bill came in and was due on a certain date. I was in and out of the hospital through that week of due date and my husband went to pay the bill one day late. The water was not shut off but was due to shut off if not paid soon. When he went to the window to pay, he was told he had to pay an extra $20. 

I do not think the utility companies should be allowed to rip people off! If the service was suspended then i understand them to charge a fee to turn it back on but if it had not, then I think they are robbing people of their money.
