Winchester Towing Stolen vehicle, Towing, Lexington Kentucky

On Tuesday, February 10th, I returned from Rupp Arena to the parking lot in which I parked my car. Upon entering the parking lot, I realized that my car was gone. My car was towed away like many other cars in the parking lot. I didn't understand this because, I had the proper parking passes displayed for that parking lot.

I called Winchester Towing and told them what they did. The person on the phone wanted to verify this had happened and told me he would give me a call back. He called me back a few minutes later and said that the car would be returned to me in 15 to 30 minutes... 38 minutes later the car was returned to me.

The driver was somewhat apologetic and said he was not the driver that had originally towed my car. According to him, the first driver was too afraid to return my car to the lot. As he was detaching my car from the tow truck he suggested that I display my parking pass in plain view and not on my rearview mirror.

The parking pass is rectangular in shape with a slit in the top of it, which was specifically designed for a rearview mirror! A simple use of a flashlight could have prevented this mishap, but the "tow happy" drivers at Winchester Towing may not know how to operate a flashlight. In my opinion, if you can operate the controls of a tow truck, you can certainly operate a flashlight.

I realize we are all human and we all make mistakes, but I ask that the drivers at Winchester Towing inspect the windshield thoroughly for the proper parking pass, and maybe, just maybe, use a flashlight!

I am not the only person to write a report about Winchester Towing for www.ripoff.com. I suggest that Winchester Towing make a notice and make a change for the better.
