Window Nation, INC Roofing Nation Harley Magden Aaron Magden Regency Windows Refuses to pay employees after separation from Lorton, Virginia branch Lorton Virginia

I have worked for Window Nation for a year (January 2012 until January 2013). First of the brothers who run this company are nothing but low life crooks, who will not hesitate to dilute information to keep from paying you what you've earned. This company owes me over $5,500 in commissions, I earned prior to my departure. I am only coming to light now about the whole situation because of the chaos that leaving this company cost me. I was unable to pay many debts due to the fact that this money was due to me in January of 2013 and it sent me on an uphill battle for many months to come. I am one of many who the Magden brothers have ripped off, but one of the few who will do something about the situation. They did whatever it took to not pay me what was rightfully mine, in such a way that made big issues in my personal life. The owners of this company are heartless and don't care about their employees or their clientele. I will get into more of the customer related problems further in this.

The whole situation they created was so traumatizing that I had to leave the state until a few weeks ago so I could just recollect myself, I lost my home, my car and my fiancé. I worked directly under Harley Magden and he prides himself on being a manipulative, condescending con artist. If you look on this site there is another report from a salesperson in the Glen Burnie, Maryland location who states similar complaints to mine except upon them realizing what he posted, they paid him off to clear their name. Except now that the damage is done, they couldn't pay me enough to keep my mouth shut. This is only the first on my to-do list, as I am also filing a complaint through the department of labor here in Virginia and filing a lawsuit against them for the amount which they owe me. As I stated previously, I left the state due to the devastating situation that this company left me in after they royally screwed me over.

I will also be posting a complaint through yelp, the B.B.B (better business bureau), yahoo reviews, and the guild quality website. I have a friend who works for the Washington Post, who has agreed to write an article on the practices that take place in this company. This way everyone can see just what is behind the picture that the owners of Window Nation paint it out to be. If you are a consumer that is reading this, I'd advice you to reconsider hiring them or having them in your home for a "free in-home estimate". If you have signed a contract with them, don't forget that you a 3 day rescission to cancel the contract with a full refund, so that you can stop feeding these greedy men. It's so shameful what they do to people as I am not the first person they have ripped off, yet Harley has enough money to drive in a Nissan GTRs, Porsche Panamera, and an Audi RS8. Aaron has quite the high end cars as well, yet they can't pay their employees what they rightfully earned.

They lie not only to their employees but their costumers as well. If you do happen to get an estimate from them they will promise you the world and under deliver everytime. They will tell you that they don't use sub contractors but it is another lie, they use a sub contractor known as MidSouth off Braddock Rd in Springfield, Virginia. They may promise you a life time warranty on the materials and even the labor, but I can assure that in order to get them back to your home for a warranty issue, is harder than getting the president of the US on the phone. Don't take my word for it, these con artist learned from the best, their father who betrayed the trust and ignorance of thousands in Ohio. Harley and Aaron both claim that company has 40 years of experience, when in fact Window Nation opened its doors back in 2006.

The reason these clowns make that claim is because they worked under their father for a company known as Regency Window in Cleveland, Ohio. If you do a quick google search on Regency Windows, you will see tons of articles about how consumers are having issues with their warranties with a company that no longer exists. Just like their father, they will run the company to the ground and your so called life time warranty, will be nothing more than writing on a piece of paper. As you can see the Magden brothers have bought the remaining assets from Regency Windows (their fathers company), just so that they can continue to feed their greed and make more empty promises which will mean nothing once they go out of business. As they are not taking responsibility for the work their father did on those poor homeowners. If the client is lucky enough to find that the manufacturer is still in business, in which their windows, siding, doors were made. They will only receive a replacement product, but the cost of the labor is left in the hands of these betrayed home owners. Even if the company is still running like it is currently, you will see that they give you the run around once the time to deliver comes. Any warranty issues are hardly taken seriously unless the homeowner threatens to sue. Is this really a company that you want to invest your hard earned money into?

Trust me these two are a couple of crooks who spend millions and I mean millions on advertising/marketing to keep their noses clean and to flash their company name in your face so much that you are left with the conclusion, "how bad can they be". The Magden brothers only bought the remaining assets of Regency Windows, so that they can call or solicite door to door, the thousands of customers Regency has left in the dark. They do it in a matter that makes Window Nation out to be the hero by letting them about how they can go about claiming the manufactures warranties but try to weasel themselves into getting an estimate for any remaining windows or projects the homeowner might have. I believe this is a very unedithical way of doing business, they hide behind mirros and don't deliver on what they promise the homeowners.

They are as bad as it comes and will not leave your home during a free in-home estimate, because they train their salesperson to use high pressure sales tactics to get you to buy on the first visit. If you don't buy on the first visit they will have a salesperson contact you via phone calls or emails. This salesperson calls all the failed attempts to rehash the business by offering you an inferior product for a lower price or just to lower the price of the previous estimate. If they could have given you the project at a lower cost why not offer it from the get-go? Well it's because they try to milk you as much as they can, hoping you'll call them back on the higher bid before settling for a lower profit margin, which then the follow-up salesperson calls to lower the price or offer you a low quality product for less money.

I strongly advice you to reconsider doing business with Window Nation as they will not only rip you off with their sales tactics, but once they have you as a client - they will not care about you or the problems that may come from their installations. Once they go out of business, they will leave you in the dust with any warraty issues that may come up in the future. Not to mention that you shouldn't keep feeding into the greed and lies that these heartless brothers have. Thank you for taking the time to read this entire thing.
