WM Models Inc. It's true, they are a TOTAL ripoff, illegitimate agency! Toronto Ontario

I signed with WM Models two summers ago. I have since left and ended all affiliation with them. I am currently signed with an actual legit agency.

My experience was quite like the other girls that have posted here on ripoffreport.com. Ridiculous amounts spent on prints, shoots and fees, and for girls like me who don't have lots of money, this was very difficult . Earlier this year I booked an appointment to go in to pick up 5 prints, which cost me $275 by the way, and James didn't even show up. No one was even at the agency for days. It's like I had to chase him around to get my prints. When I finally got my prints, I was pretty annoyed to say the least. Low quality photos, not at all worth the money I paid. Also, James didn't even care about how I was doing and had no interest in conversation at all. I hadn't seen him almost a year because of school, and he didn't even have the time of day to talk to me.

James and Tara are NOT legit model/talent agents. They are an agency who gives girls, who don't have a chance to succeed in modelling, false hope and promises of success in order to pocket some cash. Since I knew I deserved better, I checked out the big agencies in Toronto who haven't even heard of WM Models. A few agencies told me that technically WM went out of business and isn't a real agency at all. On top of that, ALL of the photos that I took with WM I can't even use!!! The modelling in the shots wasn't the problem-- it was the cheap styling, makeup and photography that makes those shots simply not usable. I knew this already, since I cried over most of the photos I got back from WM due to the money I had saved up to pay for them. I was advised by my current agency to take out all of those photos and start fresh. What a waste of time and money!!

BEWARE! When an 'agent' like James says things like "Sorry honey I didn't return your call last week, I was on conference calls with New York", just know that he is absolutely full of crap. When an 'agent' like Tara makes you cry because you didn't get your walk right the first time, just know that she isn't a real agent.

I hope that every model considering business with WM will realize that WM Models isn't even on the radar when it comes to the modeling scene in Toronto. Nobody knows who they are!
If you want to waste time and money, sign with them. There will be new fees everytime you go in. Plus, tons of promises but zero castings and zero money made. Doesn't sound too appealing to me.
