This website is supposedly owned by a woman who goes by the name of Daisy who claims that she works for one or more of the "at home" companies that she promotes on her website. Several of the companies that she promotes do not pay their employees on time, pay below minimum wage, or do not provide enough hours to make working for them worthwhile for most people. I've come to the conclusion that her forum is basically a big advertisement for these companies. She has posted misleading information on at least two of the positions, because I signed on with two of her recommendations and very little of what she said was true based on my experience.
Furthermore, it wasn't long after I signed up for her forum that she began asking for "donations" to cover the forum's hosting fees and then she appeared to start playing favorites with those who donated vs. those who didn't, allowing paid members to violate board policies and gang up on other members over political issues. She seems to have a hidden political agenda as well and comes unglued when democrats speak out against her republican biased rants. Very unprofessional. She appears to enjoy baiting members by posting controversial political articles and then she and her cronies will bash those who take the Democratic position.
What's even worse is there is one company that she promotes that is a total scam in my opinion, employees forced to work off the clock to keep their jobs but then they are warned they cannot talk about their experience in detail on the forum because they signed a "non-disclosure contract." She often reminds members not to talk about the details due to "non disclosure contract." Why does she care if members return to give details of their experience? Interesting. I do not recommend this website to anyone looking for an at home position. I'm a member of two other sites that cover work-at-home jobs, and they are much more accurate, forthright, and friendly than this one. This one is a little shady if you ask me.

Not a ripoff

I used this website multiple times in the past for work at home jobs. The forum was very informative and helped me find the jobs that I wanted to apply for, acquired and recieved decent pay as an employee, some with benefits. It takes a lot of digging and reading but that is essential to understanding how to complete an application at any of the companies that were listed. Extremely useful and I was happy to contribute when donations were asked for. This website does not belong in a ripoff report, but hey, it's the internet. What can anyone expect?

This site allows bullying

I have personally contacted the owner of workplacelikehome multiple times over the last year with concerns about both the bullying from moderators towards members, and bullying from members towards other members that the moderators overlook. All inquiries have gone ignored with no responses by the site owner, and my last inquiry about the bullying resulted in an immediate ban with the reason given to not question authority. And yes, the reason for my ban is just as ridiculous, unprofessional, and bully-like as it sounds.
Workplacelikehome has created an atmosphere favorable to bullying - that alone speaks volumes about the character of this site owner and its moderators. Question it, or try to stand up for those who are being bullied, and you get banned.
I encourage the site owner to offer a rebuttal as i've been trying to get a response from her for the last year, and am now banned because i kept asking. Im very interested to hear why she does nothing to stop the bullying running wild on her site.

I stand by the people who their true comments are definately not supported at work place like home. I too, have worked at some of these extremely make you want to puke jobs that are listed. And when someone has asked me for their Advice ....I will certainly tell them my experience and they can use the advice in any which way they feel. That is MY opinion, MY experience..by no means am I intending to bash any company..but it seems as soon as you say something negative..you get some sort of reprimand..warning.. R U kidding me!!! I wish I have had REAL input for some of these companies prior..had I known I would not have wasted my time. Most posts are about..ooohhh got the job..congrats...ect ect..and that is all you see, until the next batch of idiots that get hired post the same thing..oohh got the job. ect. Oh sure, there r some awesome vets that will help you (thank you, by the way) but I have posted REAL downs with some of these companies..then look months later and a light bulb flashes on someone's head who FINALLY GETS IT..most of these companies listed r not caring..they could care less.........hey could someone post where I can go..I need a real forum with some REAL advice....thumbs up to all you Democrats...we came, we saw, we are starting to conquer...a long way to go to make up for all those republican mistakes. Oh by the way..I lost my password, and have had trouble logging back in..emailed administrator...no response..I did not "donate" any money..maybe that's why...freakin Republicans....the apple does not fall far from the tree.

Setting the Record Straight

There are so many inaccuracies in the original report but I will only address a few of them.
1. Daisy has never been and is not the Owner of WPLH. She is a valued friend who donates a great deal of her time to WPLH and it's members.
2. Daisy only works for one company.
3. WPLH does not promote or advertise for any at home company. Our members discuss the different companies and share our good and bad experiences. We and our members have spent years gathering information on legitimate work at home companies.
3. Jeana did not sign on with any "recommended" companies. We simply list the different companies out there and it is up to the individual to research and see which company is a good fit. Many times one will have a bad experience but dozens of others are quite satisfied with a company.
4. Daisy did not ask for any donations. I initiated subscriptions for those members who wish to have additional benefits. The board is and always will be free to all.
5. We have been in existence for over 5 years. We provide support and information for other individuals who possess the drive and organizational skills to work from home. Many people do not possess those skills.
Based on the fact the report is so full of inaccuracies I don't believe it's even necessary to stoop to a low unprofessional level and discuss political beliefs. Which actually seems to be the main reason the poster is angry.
I wish her well and hope she is able to find a work at home position which she is satisfied with.
I will not even address the 2nd poster as her comments are disgusting and extremely unprofessional.
Sincerely,
Connie

I agree with what you said; Daisy is just a right-wing whack job who I am fairly convinced is the love child of Rush Limbaugh and Sarah Palin.
She's brainwashed her half-brained moronic cult members so if you're not some gap-toothed, homophobic, Jesus-loving redneck you'll get railed (that is, unless you're willing to hand over your money for their little craphole).
Funny, most of these Republicunts are always railing against "hand-outs" yet that's the very thing that they're begging for.
Save yourself some sanity and check out the other work at home message boards out there (although many of them are just as much of a clique as WPLH)
