this company offered me and my husband a home loan. I gave my money for appraisal and I was assured that I would get the loan.
then I never heard from the woman again. her associate, shawn corgas has been in contact with my husband and I but he informed us that there was nothing we could do

Hi Monique,
I just wanted to let you know that if you are going to make up stories at least know what you are talking about.
Fact #1
WLG is not licensed in New York and can not do any type of business there.
Fact #2
Most appraiser will come and collect money from you at the time of the appraisal.
Fact #3
The mortgage and lending industry is highly regulated and watched by the Federal Government and if you ever run into a problem like this in the future please report it instead of throwing it on the internet.

World Lending Group loan originators do not collect money for an appraisal at any time. When the appraisal is to be done, the funds are collected electronically through the loan process.
It sounds like the homeowner did not have enough information.
