I bought the complete FRIENDS TV Series on DVD for $79.95
from WorldLynxx. LLC, a company registered with PayPal, on July 16, 2007.

When I received the DVDs and try them on my player, 4 out of 10 could not be read because they had errors. I contacted the company per e-mail right away and they told me they would send me replacements for those DVDs with error. I later discover that the 6 left also had errors but of a different kind. They could be played on the DVD player but the playback didn't make any sense because the chapter on the seriers have been burned in a shuffle manner. Causing it to play episode 4 as the first chapter, followed by episode 2, followed by 1, followed by 3 and so on. In other words, this product was absolute rubish and although they can be played, the playback doesn't have any logic, making it imposible
to enjoy.

To this day I am still waiting for the replacement for the first 4 DVDs and they claim that the supplier shipped them on August 15, 2007. About the rest 6 DVDs they refuse to take action before I recieve replacement for the first 4.

Unfortunately I have no more information about this company appart from these e-mail addresses: hautecouturep@gmail.com (address to reach
Melissa) and doughd@gmail.com (paypal e-mail address)

I have been very stressed with this situation. I have been trying to reason with this people for months and haven't seen any results yet. I have lost $79.95 on a scam that I hope can be stopped before they turn rich on it.

Worldlynxx - hautecouture - FRIENDS DVD complete seriess scam

AUTHOR: Ecp - (Germany)

POSTED: Tuesday, September 25, 2007

I bought the complete FRIENDS TV series in 10 DVDs from Worldlynxx, LCC through PayPal. I had done a bid on E-bay for the series (to another bidder) when I recieved an e-mail from Melissa from Worldlynxx, LCC (e-mail: hautecouturep@gmail.com) offering me the series in 10 DVDs instead of 40 which is the usual amount of DVDs for the complete series, for $79.95 including shipping to Germany.

I wrote her back asking her a few questions about the DVDs and asking her who would give me garantee that I would recieve the merchandise when I pay. She told me that PayPal protects the buyer against non-delivery of goods and therefore I would have the guarantee of delivery from PayPal. On July 16, 2007 I went ahead and bought the FRIENDS complete series from Worldlynxx, LCC.

I recieved the series on July 24, 2007 to discover at first evaluation that none of the DVDs could be play on my player. I contacted Melissa about this situation and she told me that I needed a multiregion DVD player because these DVDs were burned in different formats, some in PAL and some in NTSC. I went to the store and bought a new DVD player that could play these DVDs. Now that I could play them I discovered at first evaluation that 4 out of the 10 DVDx did not play correctly. On August 2 I wrote Melissa an e-mail to inform her of this misfortune.

She wrote back the same day to say that I could ask for replacement for the DVDs that did not playback correctly. On August 7, 2007 I sent her an e-mail specifying which ones I need replacement for. She responded on August 8, saying: "Your order for replacement has been sent. Pls allow up to 5 days for order processing and 10-14 days for arrival. Replacements are shipped via Airmail and takes a bit longer to arrive." According to the calculation the replacements should have arrived around August 28, 2007.

On Sept 5 I wrote Melissa telling her I hadn't recieved the replacements yet and asking her to please verify/confirm that they were shipped. She wrote back claiming that the DVDs were shipped on August 15, 2007.

As of today, Sep 25, I have not recived any replacements. In the meantime, after close inspection of the remaining 6 DVDs, I discovered that they are all burned incorrectly since the chapters in the series do not playback chronologically one after the other but randomly. That is, when I choose the "play all" menu option, the first chapter played is for example chapter 4 followed by 2, followed by 3 and so on. Rendering the DVDs unusable, since watching by the series in this manner you can makes no sense out of it.

On August 12, I informed Melissa about the new misfortune to which I start recieving absolutely erratic/irrelevant answers to the point that they, since Sept 12, stopped answering my mails and started ignoring the situation that I still have not recieved replacement for the 4 DVDs which Meilissa claimed were shipped on August 15. They refuse take responsibility for the fact the complete series is actually unusable and that I should receive an acceptable replacement for the complete series or my money back.

In all honesty, for me it is a lot more important that these people are stopped from continuing their scam and taking advantage of honest consumers. I don't care so much if I never get to see my $79.95 again, I just want this company taken out of business. It is poeple like this that break the whole system and this has to be stopped. The point is that I tried to find out information on this business before I bought from them through the internet and there was no indication, report or evidence available that they had a already complaints filed against them. Through this report and others I have made with different organizations I am hoping that this can be stopped.
