The bulk of my complaints are of verbal misrepresentation and unethical business practices. Wyndhams contract should be reviewed for unethical lack of clarity to the lay reader and one sidedness of the protection of the agreement. The contract locks signers in to paying lifelong increasing fees with no way to get out of it other than to sell the contract to someone else, yet this is never pointed out, explained, or disclosed. Many Wyndham owners are very unhappy with the company and their unethical business practices. I believe the legal system needs to closely investigate Wyndhams business ethics, practices, and owner complaints, and institute new laws protecting the potential and actual timeshare consumer.

Never was it explained that the timeshare I would be purchasing was a lifelong contract and that someone would always have to pay for be it me, my posterity, or a new owner and that it could never be dissolved. Only vacation opportunities were showcased and glorified, never the seriousness of the commitment. I feel I was lied to, mislead, and coerced into purchasing. It is a known fact that many Wyndham owners are very unhappy with the company. I have personally experienced how Wyndham practices solely in the financial interest of the company and not in owner satisfaction, moral business practices or honest business conduct.

Wyndham has written a contract that takes away all rights to customer satisfaction and reasonable cancellation of services. They do offer a 7-10 day rescission period that virtually no owner can meet because of they require a written notification to be received within the time period. I know it personally took me a year to learn that I was lied to about the information that was a deciding factor in my agreement to purchase this timeshare. And it wasnt until trying to understand, address, and resolve those misrepresentations that I experienced the worst of Wyndhams unethical business practices.
