Safe-Cart sounds like a third-party billing service.

If you buy anything over the web, you should print out a copy of your order, which should show the final charge & how it was paid.

Example:
If you buy from d**k's.com, at checkout you can either pay through d**k's or you can use a payment service by Google.

You could use YOUR Google universal account which contains your billing/delivery address(es), your CC info, and so on, meaning you do not have to enter this information at each and every web seller you deal with who also uses Google.

If you were to use d**k's checkout then you must enter all of your information in the appropriate places. When you then visit another web seller you must again enter all of your information in the appropriate places.

Which is better? Your choice. But print out & save a copy of every transaction you enter into on the web. Then bounce your web purchase copies against your CC statements.

POSTED: Thursday, January 10, 2008

Hi Randal,

This is Kathleen from SafeCart customer service. By way of some background, SafeCart provides online sellers of digital products such as downloadable software, e-books and the like, the facilities to accept credit card and PayPal payments through our secure shopping cart and checkout.

I'd like to assist you in referencing this purchase could you please contact me through our online form at www.safe-cart.com/contact Please write ATTENTION KATHLEEN at the beginning of your message to ensure it makes it to my desk asap.

When a purchase is made from a merchant or publisher who uses SafeCart internet payment services, the payment processor on the credit card statement shows as www.safe-cart.com. If PayPal was used, SAFECART is displayed. The URL, www.safe-cart.com is our official website address.

I agree with the comments posted by Daniel if you've experienced several unexplained charges from different companies, you may have had a breach of your credit card details. I'd like to work with you to quickly locate this particular order and to provide you with some background on the purchase in question.

Thanks, Randal. I look forward to hearing from you so that I can help you with this.

Kind regards,
Kathleen

Stolen Information?

AUTHOR: Daniel - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, January 06, 2008

Roy this appears to be your second report on here in a very short period of time. Both of your reports do not provide enough information for anyone to utilize to help you.

If these are legitimate reports i'd urge you to verify you have posession of all of these credit cards or bank accounts and to contact the issuers with the unauthorized transactions. Don't let this continue, filing all these 4 line reports aren't going to do anyone any good.
Best Regards
