I reluctantly bought the Wyndham time share vacation on the 22 February 2023 at the Panama City Beach Florida Location.
We spent about 5 hours of our vacation time for the Wyndham presentation & the pressure sales tactics.
I paid $40 for the presentation which we never received back.
I resisted through the whole presentation.
I told them that I didn't want to be stuck with another vacation package that we could use.
I told my wife that if I die she will be stuck with paying $1,000 per year for this plus the $18k+ for the program.
I didn't want to be stuck with another vacation package because we already had Pueblo Bonito Emerald Bay time share & I told Justin Cook we were not able to use it & that we have 2 weeks banked with RCI.
I told Justin that we just like to do driving vacations and staying at hotels along the way.
Justin said we could use the app and the Wyndham points to stay at our hotels.
He also said that our 2 RCI banked weeks were worth 105,000 points each plus we would get 105,000 points & 145,000 points from Wyndham totaling 250,000 points adding in our RCI points for 460,000 points.
I didn't see the points in the phone app to use on our Florida trip to Ocala FL and Naples FL.
On the 23rd of February 2023 at 11:14 am we talked to Justin for 2 minutes and 42 seconds. I told him I wanted to cancel the program because I couldn't use it and didn't see our points in the phone app he showed me on my phone. He talked me out of cancelling asking me to try the app to make reservations.
We talked again on the 23rd of February 2023 at 11:56 for 1 minute and 11 seconds.
We saw some points on the phone app & used the app for our stays in Florida. We contacted Justin Cook to ask where the points are so we could continue using them. He said it takes 10 days for the Wyndham points & another  month for the RCI points to move over.
We still didn't see the points in the app & had to pay out of pocket for Hurrahs in Illinois.
We want a full cancellation of this program.

Flint Is Correct...But...

AUTHOR: Irv - (United States)

POSTED: Saturday, April 15, 2023

...Let me add something to the usual excellent advice Flint gives. The ONLY "seminar" is a meeting, discussion or teaching session given by a VALID EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION. What you attended was a PITCH and when any company calls an event a "seminar" they are LYING TO YOU. If they are trying to sell you something, ITS A PITCH!

You can tell who the sharks are

I can tell by the responses that you agree with the sales people. If they can get away with talking you into signing then they won. Even if the product is junk & isn't use able. You salespeople love to get away with anything you can as long as it benefits you. No heart. No conscience. No integrity.

Your wife...

AUTHOR: Flint - (Afghanistan)

POSTED: Thursday, April 13, 2023

Your wife sounds like an absolute doormat, as do you.  I would suggest staying far, far away from any kind of timeshare seminar or sales meeting, as well as car dealerships, casinos, door to door salesmen, etc.  You might want to seek counseling, as well -- you obviously have a very dysfunctional relationship with your wife, as well as a total inability to communicate or say "no" to something.  I'm not sure why you would go to a timeshare presentation if you already have a timeshare and you don't feel like it's a good value.  The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.  Like the other poster said, the only correct thing to do if you somehow end up in a timeshare presentation is to GET UP AND LEAVE.  Not to mention, LEAVE YOUR PEN AT HOME.  If someone tells you that you have to buy today, that's a reliable indicator of a scam.  Don't worry, the timeshare salesman will be there next week, next month, and next year.

The only thing  you can do at this point is suck it up and pay the fees, or just cut to the chase and see if the company would be willing to take back the deed.  You are not getting your money back, that's for sure.  Just so you know, the "purchase price" of the timeshare goes entirely to the salesman as a commission.  So you are definitely not getting it back.  Timeshares aren't an asset, they are a liability and have a negative value.  That's why they are impossible to sell.

YOU GAVE IN!

AUTHOR: Irv - (United States)

POSTED: Wednesday, April 12, 2023

The ONLY reason you would need to "cancel" is if YOU AGREED TO THE PLAN. If you were so opposed to this thing, which was exactly the right thing to do, then YOU WALK OUT! We're back to my same statement, YOU AGREED TO IT and THAT is YOUR FAULT!

Wyndham Panama City Beach Scam

AUTHOR: Robert - (United States)

POSTED: Wednesday, April 12, 2023

I told them during the presentation that I did not want to sign. At one point I sat back in my chair & told them I refuse to sign. My wife does not like adversarial relationships. She was angry that wi was not complying with them. I told her that she will be responsible for the payment of this program plus $1,000 per yera for the rest of her life. At that point the salesperson should have said he could see that I was against agreeing to their product & stopped the sales pressure. I talked to the salesperson the next day to cancel but he talked us into trying the phone app. I said I would try it. Later I discovered that the points he told us would be used with the phone app were not available until 10 days later & that our RCI 2 weeks booked would not combine with our points until 30 to 45 days later. We still do not have the points in the phone app. The he told us there is a separate program for the other points not associated with the phone app. WTF??? I told him I wanted simple & not complicated. I want it cancelled & they can sell it to the next person who wants it.
