Yellow Checker Taxi ACME Brands, Inc. Dangerously undermaintained vehicles, lacks proper licensing, pays employees under the table, misrepresents information to authorities, etc. Cheyenne and Laramie Wyoming

I worked for this company after they merged/bought out the company I worked for in Laramie, WY.  I soon discovered that this company operates without some of the legally required licensing such as sales tax licensing, has been/is in trouble with several State departments, pays subpar wages under the table, reports false information to employees' parole/probation officers on their behalf, and has extremely unsafe and undermaintained vehicles from a mechanical standpoint. They also completely misrepresented their financial situation, broke nearly every facet of the merger agreement in place between the companies, duped the old company's owners into dissolving their licenses and assets, lied to their new employees (from the merging company) about their business plan and intentions, and forced us all into a highly precarious situation from a business, reputation, and financial standpoint.  Every single employee of the former company was soon fired or forced to quit; thankfully, the old owners had already set the wheels in motion to start a new business that we all began working for.  Our entire customer base has followed us to the new company in the wake of this extremely shady company's actions.  This company completely and totally ripped off an entire other business and its customer base.  There are more detailed accounts around the internet of what happened, but that should suffice enough for this report.

I sincerely urge anyone thinking of working for Yellow Checker Taxi (a.k.a. ACME Brands, Inc.), either in Cheyenne or in Laramie, to refrain from doing so in the interest of self-preservation.  I also sincerely caution employees and customers about the mechanical safety of the vehicles, as well as the legitimacy of the business as a whole.  I also hope that in time the State Departments currently investigating this company will uncover and promptly deal with unsettling discrepencies in this companies paperwork, activities, employment practices, and business licensing.
