Today i was stopped because the officer said i did not have my seatbelt on!! (LIES) i had it on but i had the shoulder strap under my Arm because it was bothering me. he made a instant U turn and hit the lights on me so i pulled over he came over to my car and said you was not wearing your seat belt! i said yes i was i had the shoulder strap under my arm and i was leaning forward because my Back was hurting. so after 2 minutes of talk back and fourth he wrote me a ticket. this is the 2nd time in the last 45 days i been stopped for this BS violation. the first time i had just taken my belt off and he pulled in and got me for the same thing.

i believe this is harassment just to make ticket Quota" these cops are A-Holes i feel this is Harassment towards me. so i signed for the ticket and was on my way, as i was pulling off i noticed he made a U turn and pulled some one else over and i seen point at his seat belt.

(BEWARE) IF you travel thru Yukon Oklahoma Wear your seat belt to (AVOID) the idiotic Police for a lousy 20$ ticket yep 20$ bucks. are that Broke to write 20$ tickets.....

I removed my name....

The Yukon Police and Seatbelts Save Lives

AUTHOR: Cc995 - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, July 22, 2009

It is a proven fact seatbelts save lives, you should according to STATE law wear the lap and shoulder belt correctly any time you get into a moving vehicle. The Yukon Police Department (a department of 42 Sworn officers) does participate very actively in seat belt enforcement programs all year around (as does every other police department in the metro area). Police offiers have to protect people sometimes against themselves so consider the 20 dollar fine a small price for a head on collision where you could have been seriously injured. A Police Officers job in any Department is a thankless job. I can see you are upset by being stopped twice, however you were in violation of the STATE law both times. please be mad at yourself, however even though there is no need for your internet postings I hope your venting made you feel better. If the Yukon Officer who wrote you the citations makes you wear your seat belt correctly ALL of the time then he did a very great job and you should thank him. Happy Motoring

Yukon has like 3 cops! What are the odds of being stopped twice?

Tint your windows if you don't want to wear your seatbelt. Then they can't see you.

Most seatbelts are adjustable, and the shoulder harness usually adjusts up and down for comfort. There really is no legitimate reason not to wear it. It is the law, and is not negotiable. Like it or not.

Leaning forward is not a good idea while driving. a very bad decision. Very unsafe. If your back is in that bad shape, you shouldn't be driving. You should be seeking medical attention.

You are lucky the fine there is only $20. It is $95 here.

FYI...I have 3 damaged disks in my lower back, L-4,L-5,S-1. I know all about pain. And I wear my seatbelt.

Yukon is a small town. So why would you give these guys a reason to pull you over? FYI..I lived in MWC. I am familiar with Yukon.
