On May 27th, we relinquished our leased Dodge Ram 2 months early at the prompting of Zappone salesman Mike Bosch. We trusted him as we had leased with him before. We informed Mike of the mileage overage and he said that was no problem. He offered us a Jeep Compass with zero down and the same payment that we had paid for the Ram. We agreed and off we went. Within two weeks, we began receiving notices from Chrysler asking our intentions with the Ram once the lease was up in July. My husband contacted Mike, who said it didn't make sense but he'd take care of it. One week ago we received a certified letter from Chrysler stating we owe $2300 for the Ram. Apparently, our lease was never terminated with Chrysler and they are charging us for payments on the truck as well as mileage overage and a bad tire. This is where it gets good (sarcasm). Mike Bosch said it was a mistake but his hands are tied, he's just the "middleman." He instructed us to contact the sales manager, said he was fairly new and it was his fault the paperwork wasn't done correctly. We tried to contact the sales manager and he wouldn't take our calls. We went to the dealership yesterday, Mike wouldn't talk to us and the sales manager was too "busy" to meet with us. We finally met with the floor manager who said he would call us back tomorrow with a decision. He has not called back. We should absolutely not have to pay for the dealer's mistake. We would never have leased the Compass if we still had the Ram leased for two more months . We made it crystal clear that we were prepared to purchase the Ram if necessary. This is the worst dealership, by far, that we have ever dealt with in 30+ years. What kind of business can get away with not returning calls and refusing to meet with you when you go in? We will warn everyone we know to stay away from this horrible business at all costs.
