I have seen the entries on this site for ZaZou talent management agency and if the Helene that is mentioned is the same person, she also at one time went by the name "Helene Mattiocco" from the agency ZaZou, Inc. Talent & Management Agency, 158 Linwood Plaza, Suite 202-203, Fort Lee, New Jersey 07024, tel. 201 346 6667 fax 201 346 0404.

If anyone has additional information about the current whereabouts of this business and if they can confirm that this is the same "Helene" and the same agency (not a different agency using this name), I would like to offer to start a lawsuit against these perpetrators.

I was also a victim of ZaZou while they were located in Fort Lee, NJ. It sounds like a lot of what has been mentioned on this website for their various locations is simply their operating "modus operandi" that has been reinvented all over the west coast. I also was affiliated with John Robert Powers and I understand that ZaZou used to use some of the same "expert" coaches that John Robert Powers used in their Phila. offices.

I have tried to get voice or spokesmodel work through these types of venues. Though I can't say that JRP ripped many people off because they never really charged entry fees to be affiliated, ZaZou charged exorbitant fees to "have you in an estate for onsite professional portfolio photography". The guy they used to use was nicknamed "Massimo" or "Maximo", some monkey-faced post-pubescent with a bad accent, who would jump around on the furniture in this so-called "estate" actually which was a mid-priced rancher somewhere with a finished basement (finished off with bad Home Depot paneling, by the way). Massimo would jump all over the furniture to get "angle" or "perspective" for his shots. The proofs were bad enough, but the actual photos were done on a black and white laser printer on simple laser photo paper. For this the charge was $650 I believe.

The acting coach was an unknown former English professor who used to give a 1-hour class then give a reading or memorization character assignment, and not even show up the following week to comment on the student work. I remember going to the office and hearing the phones ringing off the hook and Helene would take messages on post-it notes and stick them all over the top hutch of her cheap desk, so it looked like they were brimming with work assignments -- has anyone even gotten an actual assignment from these people? Most likely very few! They do not get actual referrals for their talent they say they get. It reminds me of a cheap version of a brothel!
