We hired "Miles Riggs" to do some electrical work for a residential family home we were building in Lake Forest, First time he had done any work for us, his bid wasn't the lowest but reasonable enough & he said he start the job quickly, we drew up a contract with a list of stuff he was supposed to do and a final cost, he told us he would have more people helping him to wrap things quickly, sounded good, he started a couple of days later just by himself, when asked, he said the other guys were completing a job and will join him soon, we never seen anyone working with him, but we allowed him to continue anyway, it took him a while to finish the roughing, his work was standard, but to everyone surprise, including the inspector, he never bothered pulling a permit, we thought that was odd, when asked he said "I will take care of it" after completing the roughing, and before any inspection, he presented us with an invoice requesting a draw for half of the job cost, he also jacked up the initial contract amount by $ 1, 500.00 saying he encountered some unexpected problems and some materials suddenly increased in cost, of course we refused to pay any additional cost, that is when the dispute started, he became very angry saying he will not get a permit or allow any inspection until he get paid, and suddenly we are having a problem, because unless the rough electrical is inspected, we will not be allowed to insulate & drywall the walls & ceilings, we filed a complaint with the department of plans & inspections, they told us there is not a thing they can do about it, so we got another electrician to pull a permit & call for an inspection, then we fired "Mr. Miles Riggs", without giving him a dime, he started calling 20 times a day, creating a lot of problems, posting nasty stuff everywhere on the internet, lies, lies & lies, but most people aren't so gullible & naive, they know better especially when they read the stuff he wrote , making no sense at all, 
Zimmer & kohl is in business for over 40 years, (No accident there) well rated & accredited by the BBB, with a gross income of millions of dollars each year, won't cheat Mr Miles Riggs or anyone else for their money, we value our employees & subs, without them there will be no "Zimmer & Kohl Contracting Co,)
