Purchase 2005 Altima with 101000 miles. Had to wait 1 day, I was told car was being detailed. (sure this is when they was covering engine damage) Purchased from David, as Don was out ill. 5 days after purchase major oil leak, engine locked. David had quit in those 5 days. Found out he did not have sales licences, attempted to undo deal, Don lied to finance company saying he sold me vehicle and did not know who David was. Engine not covered by purchased warranty (warranty recommended by dealer) b/c it is considered pre-existing damage. Don offered no assistance

The customer purchased a vehicle on 1/5/15. The vehicle was safety inspected for any mechanical or safety related issues by an independent outside company. There were no issues found at the time of our inspection. The car was sold to the consumer. A few days after delivery, the customer called and reported that the vehicle was leaking oil, at which time she was advised to bring the vehicle back to the store so it could be looked at by a technician and taken care of. Customer advised that she was unable to do this, so she was then advised that she had purchased an extended warranty to cover her vehicle as well that she could take to a local dealer to have the repairs performed. We never heard back from the consumer. Vehicles consist of literally hundreds of moving parts, both internally and externally. And at any time, mechanical failures can happen regardless of the age of the vehicle. We make every effort to protect ourselves and consumers by doing thorough inspections prior to offering a vehicle for sale and adding warranties to consumers after the sale. We would have happily made any necessary repairs to the vehicle had we been given an opportunity to do so.
