First before you go off thinking that I am some Credit Acceptance Employee I am not. But by throwing around words such as "Class Action Lawsuit", "rapist" and "predator" makes it appear the only one ignorant around here is you. By the way be careful about using those words around people who actually have been a victim of rape and see what sympathy they give you.
As to your situation. It does not make sense that if your credit is as good as you thought why you were stuck with Credit Acceptance. You say you have a house, a job, and owned a business? In that time didn't you ever shop around for the best rates and terms? If not then that is a big mistake. If you did shop around and Credit Acceptance was the best you could get you obviously don't have as good credit as you think. Not only that but it is well known that the Buy-Here/Pay-Here type of car lot you went to are not known for having the cream of the crop in cars.
Now, Credit Acceptance only loaned you the money. Any issues with the car is between you and the dealer. Even if the car had all 4 wheels fall off and it cost you $10,000 to repair it is still your responsibility to make your car payment. No other bank would be any different.
Why did you pay the payment in July by Western Union, but apparently mailed the one in August that was even later? If you had the money on the 13th paying by Western Union on that day would have kept it from getting repossessed.
Does the fact that they repoed your car suck..Yes. Were they as lenient on your late payment as other lenders may have been..No. Were they within their legal rights to repossess the car..Yes.
By the way if you really want to talk about RipOffs...look at the Payday loans you took.
Also, you keep saying that they got tax-payer money. Interesting enough I could not find out anywhere that they did. What is your source on this.
