Never rent from rentalcars.com. I did and the price was very different when I picked up the car (the insurance was double). Since I've not had this problem with other companies before, I e-mailed them and this was their response.
"The price is estimated at the time of reservation, the final price is at the discretion of the supplier when you pickup the vehicle." In other words, they lie about the price to hook you in and charge you more later. Buyer beware!
