 My wife at the time decided it would be a good idea to present me with a "Membership" to this place as a birthday "gift". Since I have traveled constantly over the past 12 years many times to and from my client sites each week I have developed trouble with my neck. OK, so maybe I could use the sessions at some point, but it is very difficult to use all of the sessions due to my travel schedule. Over the past few years I have been working internationally and as a consequence have 35 sessions that have accumulated just for me. The wife also decided it would be good to have an add-on for herself and I have been paying for both memberships for well over 3 years now. The problem is that I have used no more than a few of these sessions. However, my contract overseas will extend potentially over the next 2 1/2 years (possibly more). It makes no sense to me to continue to buy additional sessions unless and until I can use the sessions I already have stored up.

I called today to request that the auto billing stop and was informed of the policy which until now has remained hidden from me. The policy effectively states that I cannot discontinue the billing AND keep the sessions that I have already paid for. Now, with 35 sessions in my account alone (not to mention the 30 or so in the wife's account), I have paid well over $1700 for my account and an additional $1200+ for the wife's sessions all of which will go to waste if not used in a 30 day period once I cancel the billing.

Now, I am no business expert, but to me such a policy is not what I would consider customer friendly. I actually have extenuating circumstances which prevent me from being able to use these sessions, and yet with so many pre-paid sessions in my account I for one feel that this is a service I have already paid for and should be entitled to use in my own time. Ok, so some restrictions make sense, but for me to be effectively told that I have wasted over $3000 in pre-paid services is not something that I take kindly to. Personally I feel that this policy is total hogwash, and further, had I known then what I know now (i.e. if the wife had taken the time to understand the policy - if she was even given the information) I would never have allowed this company to continue billing my account month after month.

Still, the question I have to ask myself is that even if I were able to "freeze my account" for the time they tell me I can freeze it, there is no way possible for me to use the sessions I have built up. I stand to lose the money already spent and while I am not happy about it feel this is my only real option at this time. For me, lying by ommission is a practice that I feel is not only dishonest, but in fact should be punished. Don't waste your money with this place. It simply is not worth it!
