Verizon scam Verizons promotion of $300.0 Visa Gift Card is a scam, they sneakily ship you a DVR unit and it disqualifies you from your $300.00 gift card!!! dallas Texas

I signed up with Verizon because of there heavily advertised $300.00 Visa gift card if you switch over to Verizon.  I let Verizon know the only reason I was switching over was for the $300.00 gift card.  When they mail you your equiptment, they include one box with a dVR in it, which excludes you from the $300.00 Visa gift card.  I have never used a dvr, or even know what it is, but since it comes built in to one of there boxes, the entire program is a scam and they make sure to try not to ship you this gift card.  Last month I called on my gift card and where it was and I was told you have to pay on time every month for 3 months in order to receive it...I told them , but I have paid ontime for 5 months now and do not have nor had a past due, now when I called again, they told me having a dvr (which i never asked for) voided my $300.00 gift card.  I have about 20 hours on the phone with them on hold, then they give you there promotions department number which they never answer the phone and are not open on weekends .  The whole: $300.00 promotion is a scam to get you to sign up then they figure out how to not ship you the card ever.
