Just after christmas 2007, we ordered dining table, couch, love seat from Ashley Furniture. The furniture was delivered to us on Jan 6th. The personnel who came to set up the furniture were quick and were done with their assembly in quick time.

The moment they left we wanted to use the new dining table, when we found out that one of the legs was loose and it slid of the dining table. When we looked underneath one of the bolt was not all the way in and the other was jammed when the person tried to fix it.

The problem is the person did know that he messed up the assembly but did not bother to inform the customer about it. When we called the customer service they were very unresponsive to my complaint. They would not send the people to fix it at our convinience, so i had to wait 2 weeks to fix the problem.

Today is when that 2 weeks is a technician came over to our house to fix the table apparently the person who assembled the furniture had messed up so bad that this leg of the table cannot be fixed so he said that he had to order parts from ashley and its going to take 10 business days and it will take a week for them to schedule an appointment to come back and fix the table.

I want to know why do there stores always are so welcoming when we go for a purchase and act like morons when it comes to fix some thing they messed up.

I have paid 80 dollars just to assemble and set up the furniture and this service did not come for free. So now here i am suffering from a rip off.

I have paid for table, delivery charges and set up and havent been able to use the table for more than a month now.

I even told them to take back the dining table but for that i have to go back to the store and inform them to do so.

The positive point of Ashley furtniture is they have good products but there service is not upto the mark.

Let us see what happens in 2 weeks. Hoping to use the table.

Once the customer's situation was brought to the attention of the appropriate party, it was addressed quickly and professionally. We regret the delay in a resolution, but want to emphasize that this customer's merchandise was replaced. The replacement was delivered on 2/10/8 and we have since confirmed the customer's satisfaction. We would also like to denounce the other comment on this thread from the person claiming to be an employee.

your table was damaged by the delivery team that is true. The delivery team stripped the bolt connecting the leg to the table and it would not connect all the way flush (a serious problem) i replaced the t-nut "housing for the screw" and used a different bolt to reattach the leg. You sir were completley rude and disrespectful i told you that the table is fine to use and that just to completley make it up to manufactuer specifications i would order a new leg and all new hardware. You then procceded to tell me how worthless i was and that i deserved no respect. YOUR TABLE IS FINE JACK OFF!!! the only thing is it has a different bolt temporarily attaching the leg. until the new one arrives with the factory bolts. IT'S NOT LOOSE DUMBASS, YOUR JUST AN IDIOT! either way though we'll be out to put up with more of your crap and fix the table again even though it strudy and will work fine.
