I was looking at cars.com and i saw 2003 Infiniti FX35 is $8,600.i intrested about the car i looked up for the seller information i found E-mail addres so i e-maild her .then she e-mail me back( Thank you for your interest about my car. but I'm in Glasgow (Scotland) right now and I have been very busy. The total price of the 2003 Infiniti FX35 is $8,600. THIS IS MY LAST PRICE. . The car is registered and located in United States. I want to keep the car for me, but I cannot register it here, as it is made for the USA market, according to US standards. So, I decided to sell it.
Before leaving US she had prearranged the deal with MoneyBookers.com so her presence in US isn't necessary. The car is in their warehouse in New York ready for delivery.i have 10 days to test and inspect the car. So i gave her the following details :
full name and address
shipping address
phone #
then she will forward them to Money Bookers (then she sent me all the instriction

- You will be contacted by MoneyBookers with all the details about the transaction.

- You will make a deposit of 30% in to an MoneyBookers agent account.

-I will send you the car for inspection along with all the documents( the title, owner's manual, 2 sets of keys, service records, and of course the bill of sale notarized and signed by me.). The car will arrive in 48-72 hours at your address.

-If you want to keep the car, you will pay me the remaining balance of 70%. If you don't want to keep it, you will send it back to me and i will support the shipping back fees. MoneyBookers will refund you the deposit

then moneybooker sent me all this

MONEYBOOKERS AUTOTRADER SCAM

AUTHOR: Ivanr017 - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, August 28, 2008

I was just scammed by the same people. I am a college student and was extremely excited when i found this BMW priced so cheaply, and after e-mailing the seller and having several email exchanges where she explained that the car was in perfect condition and why she was selling it, I decided to go through with it. I sent them 2700 dollars, and it was only after they failed to send me the expected delivery date, that I decided to research some more, and to my horror found all of this. If only I had looked before I sent the money. Is there anything that can be done about this?

MoneyBookers Vehicle Scam Ripping People Off World Wide

AUTHOR: Vito4 - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, July 27, 2008

To all reading this or who have sent an international Western Union money transfer through MoneyBookers for an unbelievably priced vehicle (car, truck, etc.) I hate to tell you, but you have been ripped off!!!

I almost fell victim to the scam for a 2002 Lexus IS 300 w/ 44,800 miles for $8100 posted on Autotrader. Mind you this car could retail for over $15000. Like all of you I got the same excuse of a lady who moved to Glasgow, United Kingdom and couldn't take her car with her....you know how the rest goes. I had lined up my first 30% down payment of $2430 to send out. Not to mention the fee of $125 to make the transfer....total $2555.

I went home feeling good, thinking I'm about to score the biggest auto purchase of the year. About 5 hours later something told me to do a little checking. Indeed I stumbled upon all of your blogs and comments. I raced back to the place where I sent the order and told them to stop the transfer immediately.

I had to call and speak with a Western Union representative to stop the transfer and refund the money. The refund was done right away, and I walked out with my refund of $2430. This took all of 10 to 15 minutes. The fee of $125 to send the original amount was gone. Better that than the full amount I stood to lose through this disgusting scam.

What is even worse, is that even after I got my refund, I got the second email requesting another 30% payment to be made in order to receive the vehicle.

I give praise to God and the Holy Spirit for giving me the unction to do research on this transaction before totally letting down my guard and getting ripped off. For anyone who is opening a case or complaint against these con artist/scammers, I have e-mail trails to show the same pattern some of you have fell prey to. Feel free to email me at. Like the old saying goes....if it's too good to be true, it probably is.

POSTED: Tuesday, May 06, 2008

I am almost a victim of this scam. Was a day away from sending money but was eeling a little iffy about the whole situation and did some research and called moneygram adn the lady there said that moneybookers does not ask to send a moneygram right away and that this was probably a scam. She knew right off the bat that it was a scam. Definetley should have dones some research online about this but was shocked at the deal and didn't want to lose the car seeing as it was about $35,000 off the retail price. Just wanted to say thank you and I have few emails on this if there is an investigation going on.

ripped off

AUTHOR: Duckmon - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, January 28, 2008

i hate to tell you this, but you have been ripped off. i had a very similar experience to this today from a samantha brown who lived and worked in the u.s. but now lives in glaskow, scotland. the terms of the sale were almost identical to yours. i called autotrader and reported it as fraud due to the price was 1/2 of the retail price of the vehicle. they informed me that it was a scam and took it off of autotrader. i had requested pictures of the vehicle and they sent me pictures from a vehicle being sold legitamately on ebay.

to say the least, i was horrified that this scam is going around. someone else today had put something on ripoffreport about someone from glaskow, scotland doing the same thing to him. i would be calling moneybookers to get all of your money back. please update us and let us know what happens. good luck.
