I purcased a cntract at 24 Hour Fitness in Huntington Beach for $950.00 which included sessions wth a pesnal traier for a weigt lss program. paid $150.00 down and gave tem my credit card authorization to take out payments. A few days later I fell and suffered a spiral fracture tomy foot. When I was able to return several months later I had moved to Rancho Mirage and reported to 24 hour fitness in Cathedral City.

I checked withthe Manager there who nformed e that my fitness sesions were all paid for on my visa Card and that I should begin coming to training. I attened 42 sessions of training with no bills for traiing and no complaints from ane here had been no invoices ever sent t my house for training an amonts had been deducte fom my Visa Card. As of this date (june 25, 2003, I came to fitness an my instructor,a vry professional an compitent trainer informed me I cold not train that my bill was not paid.

He entered my accunt in the system and it showed paid. he said owed $3000.00 to the club & refused to let me cntnue. He said the program they sold me was in three parts and my payments had been divided into thrree payments on each contract for a total of $3000.00 instead of the $1000.00 I believed I had contracted for.I phoned 24 Hour fitness at Huntington Beach and they said they had written it off even though they had never billed me.

At this time I am awaaiting copies of my accouint with them but I am not allowed any more training. My trainer told me that if I don't pay , they will take the money out of his salary.I am very upset over this matter.

#1 UPDATE Employee

Make Sure You Read What You Sign

AUTHOR: Justin - (U.S.A.)

First off, to respond to the previous rebutal, the trainers do NOT get paid for their hours spent 'training' if the client has not paid. They get paid for general, or 'fit' hours (which is several dollars less per hour) PLUS if they were named the person responsible for the sale, they do not get paid for the inital cost of the training..... Now onto the reading part... EVERY charge you receive from this company is listed on your New Member Agreement, that YOU sign at the time of joining. A general rule of life is to read EVERYTHING you sign... especially if you are being hard-sold, like you apparently were.

The Trainer Lied

The trainer lied to you when he said the money would come out of his pay... They dont have to pay it back....
