 In a long series of complaints, starting about 5 months ago, ADT has tried all avenues possible to avoid providing service but going after my money, even going around the EFT block. Now I have an excellent credit rating because I have no problem paying my debts and commitments. But I expect to get what I pay for. ADT has been rude, avoidant, incompetent. They have done everything possible to avoid responsibility or to actually provide adequate home protection. To a point where I have had to hire a care taker because ADT is not able to assure me they will do what I am paying for. I was told by Corporate they will not assure me or put in writing what it is they will do. I have made numerous calls and emails that go no where as apparently no one in the entire organization has the authority to provide adequate service or to accept my extremely generous offer to pay a cancel fee, but not 1700.00 worth. In the latest of a string of very bizarre behavior, I did finally, 3 months after I removed a sensor from the prior owner that the technicians told me would not be used, get someone who said she would have a technician come out to fix that, for another 25.00. She said she refuses to acknowledge or address why it too ADT 3 days to notice the sensor was gone. I gave her the number of the caretaker, and she said she was going to call him, RIGHT NOW. In typical ADT fashion, she was being rude and attempting to intimidate me out of wanting to have the problems with the system corrected, being abrupt, rude, cutting me off.... So I gave her the number of my caretaker. A couple hours later I got a call from scheduling. No record of the caretakers number. So I gave it to her too. 24 hours later, no one had contacted the caretaker to come out. I did however, receive an email from the real estate agent who represented the Seller of the home when I bought it, as she had been contacted to schedule. Finally yesterday, 2 days after "RIGHT NOW" My care taker was contacted to tell him they would call on Monday to schedule a technician. So basically its going to take ADT 5 days to even get around to scheduling a repair. This is typical of ADT. Monitoring my home is not their priority. They tell me a sensor is low priority so they don't have to get out there to fix it. Yet without the sensor the home is not being monitored. But they want my money to monitor it. I agree that ADT thinks monitoring the homw is low priority. But that's not what I intended to buy. ADT has proven time and time again that the only activity they will commit to is taking my money. They will contact the real estate agent of the seller of the home from a year ago rather than provide service or contact the person they are supposed to contact. And yes, I still have the paper I wrote the care takers number on when I wrote it down to get it from my phone to the "customer service" rep and yes it was the right one. I can only assume this bizarre behavior is intended to harass me.
