I hired All My Sons to move my home on Aug 10,2006, I had everything packed and ready to go. The movers arrived at 1pm.

The side of the truck was damaged so it took the guys 15-20 minutes to get the door open which I was paying for and then they spent 20 minutes on cell phones with personal phone calls that cost me about 1/2 hrs of time which was $55.

The drivers had the truck loaded by 230pm this was a small move 2 rooms and small boxes, we did have the movers stop at a location close to us to drop off a bed to an older friend of ours.

The movers arrived at her home and told her she had to pay for the $105 per hr time and she didnt know what to do so she paid them the $105 plus $20 for a tip.

I was notified by my friend later that evening that she did pay them for the 1hr which she only used about 15 minutes but charged 1 hr.

The movers arrived at my home in Dania Beach they unloaded everything which we helped them and noticed both desks had damaged the movers seen it and noted it on paperwork but when they came in to do the bill it was over $900.00 and we were quoted $500 plus 12% fuel surcharge.

I paid it and then the next day my associate called the company and spoke wtih John and was told he would speak to the drivers and for me to call back the next day which I did.

I was told by John that the drivers told him the $105 my friend gave them for the 1 hr as instructed was a tip which is a lie plue she gave them the $20 as a tip for 15 minutes of work.

My associate was told by John that he isnt doing anything else and the bill is what it is even though I paid the $105 for the stop my friend already paid them for.

I feel its been a total lie I called John and he told me that pretty much tough luck you didnt get anything in writting about the quote so good luck proving it.

I had my associate call All My Sons on Aug 14th and spoke with a guy named Chris and for the same move was quoted $436 plus 12% fuel surcharge and was told they do not give written estimates for in-state moves.

This company is aweful Im only asking for a $200 refund on services they didnt do and damaged caused they refuse and worst of all I was charged $31.00 for 1/2 of a roll of box tape which I can go to Homedepot and buy for .79 cents. I still have the 1/2 roll in my garage. I have reported this company to the Better Business Bureau of Southeast Florida which they have 54 complaints and have an Unsatisfactory record.

I also filed a complaint with the States Attorney Generals Office Charles Christ of Florida for Consumer Fraud.

Reasonable people- reasonable results

it is always appreciated when a consumer reports the truth. A minor miscommunication turned into more than what it really was. Simply handled with a phone call and a conversation.

final settlement

AUTHOR: John - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, September 15, 2006

Sir,

My offer is one of good faith. There is no record of you paying $120 in cash to our company. This money is not owed to you. I am offering the $120 as a final settlement for any and all claims. If you prefer to file a damage claim, you may do so in writing, however, the $120 offer will not be available to you as well.

I am enclosing a copy of the written estimate signed by Jonathan Downham. Since Jonathan Downham signed all of the paperwork, perhaps you were not aware that he has a copy of the written estimate.

Please reconsider my offer to settle the entire matter for $120. Otherwise, I will wait for your claim in writing and we can settle based on the chosen coverage of .60 cents per lb per item.

Thank you for your consideration.

Response to your offer.

I appreciate your response back, I just want to state for the record that NO written estimate was ever signed before the job was performed.

I will accept your offer of $120 refund but I am filing for an insurance claim to do the fact that 2 desks were severally damaged, you have my information onfile so you can send the check to the address you have.

John I do also want to state that we chatted one day and it got heated I was very PO'd about the whole situation and you said you would talk to your drivers and give you 1 day to get it figured out, so I called you the next day you told me what they said about the $120 about it being a tip.
I just want to hear that up.

thanks

Settlement offer

AUTHOR: John - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, September 14, 2006

Mr. V, I am sorry that you feel so negatively about our company. I am humble enough to admit when my employees make a mistake, however, in this case it is you that has mistaken the facts. I would be happy to send you a copy of the signed estimate as well as my BBB record for the last three years to quell any doubts about what I have stated.

However, I would rather settle the matter in its entirety. If you prefer, you can disregard the claims form that I have sent you and instead accept the following offer. I will send you a good faith offer for $120 which you claim the movers were paid in cash. Our company has no record of such cash transaction and it is very possible that the other party tipped the men as is customary. Nonetheless, I will offer this amount in exchange for a full settlement of all claims and damages.

Please understand that I am not obligated by law or contractual agreement to offer any such amount. My offer is being made with the interest to put the negative feelings to rest.

Please consider my offer and accept my apology if i came across as unprofessional to you. I take great pride in handling the business in the most professional manner possible.

Thank you.

This is far from the truth

Hmm well well now John, I did not sign a thing regarding a written estimate, you must not remember our heated phone conversation which you stated you dont give out written estimates and there wasnt one for us because nobody could come out to the house. At the time which I posted this your rating with the BBB was not in good standing but you did seem to get that turned around ..good job.

I just wanted to say that you are the most unprofessional person I have ever met in my life, customer service to you means nothing at all, your guys bascially stole $120 from an elderly friend of ours that we had your guys stop by and drop off some furniture to her she paid you guys money for the short stop then you go ahead and charge us for the stop, and then you tell me she gave that to your guys for a tip....NO...I know for a fact she couldnt have afforded to just give up $120 in cash which your guys wanted..CASH.
I will never use your company again and if I see one of your trucks Im running the other direction.

OH YEAH...where is the credit you said you would give us? Remember the phone conversation there John?

Dr. Vincent - Port St. Lucie

AUTHOR: John - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, September 13, 2006

All My Sons was hired by a J.D. (( full name redacted by ROR))) to perform a move from Port St. Lucie to Dania Beach, Fl. on the 9th of August 2006.

The customer was given our pricing information for this type of move and never told that the move would cost less than what it did. The customer was given a WRITTEN ESTIMATE that was not to exceed $2800 which was signed by J.D. . The actual cost for the move amounted to $946.88 which was paid for by Mr. V by credit card. All My Sons did not accept any other payments for any other amounts.

Mr. V has not stated the facts regarding our company's BBB record. All My Sons Moving & Storage of West Palm Beach, Inc. has had 57 complaints in three years; all of which have been resolved and closed. Additionally, All My Sons has a SATISFACTORY rating with BBB.

Mr. V is not due any refund as a result of the move at this time. I have sent a claim form to Mr. V and will process his allegations of damages upon reciept.

All My Sons strives to provide the highest level of quality in the industry. Although our company experiences an issue from time to time, I can give every assurance that all concerns are handled. It should be noted that All My Sons Moving & Storage of West Palm Beach, Inc. performs approximately 4000 moves a year and that the number of complaints as a result represent approximatley half of 1 %.

I look forward to J.D./ Mr. V claim form. Thank you for the opportunity to respond.

Sincerely,

Michael Morgenstein
