Over a 3 day period this bank allowed me to keep overdrafting my account. I had 10 separate transactions, not one more than $27.
6 were under $11.
1 was for $18.12
1 was for $14.99
1 was for $15.10

They will not refund any fees even though they allowed these overdrafts to continue. This is a racket, banks making money hand over fist by scamming the customers with these fees, by allowing transactions to continue and the fees to pile up.

#6 UPDATE EX-employee responds

OVERDRAFT FEES

AUTHOR: D. Wise - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, May 22, 2009

There are 2 main problems with associated bank's overdraft policy and disclosures about them.

The first is they are SO COMPLICATED to understand that employees have to call their support team to understand why the fees were charged.

The other is charges you would not normally think of that could cause an overdraft charge. 1 example is if you have an account with $10.00 in it and you receive a $12.50 monthly service charge - you will also be charged a $35.00 overdraft fee.

And to add 1 additional issue - when you use your ATM card at a non associated bank you will be charged $1.50 per transaction. Most people believe this is done at the time of the transaction - but it is held until the end of the statement cycle which could cause a significant "charge" in 1 lump charge at the end of the month.

You are responsible for your own ignorant actions!

AUTHOR: Drewski07 - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, February 04, 2009

Seriously, if you knew the money wasn't there... Why would you continue spending? It should not be the banks responsibility to cover your ignorance.

May I suggest you get one of those pre-paid debit cards...

That seems more appropriate for you.

You said, >>>

............."this bank allowed me to keep overdrafting my account. "

.............and then, "they allowed these overdrafts to continue"

.............and closed with, "allowing transactions to continue "

Where is YOUR responsibility in managing your own account? They can't / don't / won't dictate to your when to use a check or debit card.....or make deposits. You would have something else to b***h about if they did. You're supposed to be an adult and either know how....or learn how to manage your money. Apparently you haven't learned that yet.

I'm in shock that you would come here and scream rip off by this bank when it was YOU that over drafted your account by spending what you didn't have.
