I opened my statement on line and found that one item made me go about slightly negative in my account. Instead of charging me a fee for that one item, they moved transaction around to there advantage and charge me over $310 in fees in one week. I called them and they told me they would look into it but they never responded. I have been with them for 14 years and as I look through past statements, I see that they have been manipulating to their advantage all along. That's why my tax dollars along with part of my pay checks go to bailing them out.
Don't use this bank and tell everyone you know.

#4 Consumer Suggestion

Rob, I think you need to learn how to PROPERLY use a checkbook register!

AUTHOR: Steve - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, January 15, 2009

Rob,

The root of your problem here is that you did not PROPERLY manage your account by means of an ACCURATE checkbook register.

You CANNOT use online banking to determine your available balance. That is NOT what online banking is for. Nor can you use the ATM or telephone banking to get your available balance.

The ONLY method of obtaining your ACCURATE available balance is by using an ACCURATE checkbook register. This is NOT optional if you want to avoid nsf fees.

The posting order of transactions is totally irrelevent if funds were available PRIOR to INITIATING the transaction.

FYI...Almost every bank has the same practices on this issue.

Therefore they did not "steal" anything. If they did, in fact, "steal" your money, I suggest you file a police report and bring them up on larceny charges.
