I purchased a new vehicle one year ago which has been covered by insurance since day one. Proof of insurance has been provided to Compass Bank by both myself and agents. Despite this an outrageously priced policy has been placed on my account with notification that I do not have coverage. No matter how many times I Fax the information it is ignored. This seems to be an additional income scheme for them. I'm sure individuals are paying this in order for their credit not to be affected.

Are your insurance limits sufficient?

Does Compass bank have insurance limit requirements that are higher than what your current insurance is for? Perhaps that is why they had to take out an additional policy to cover the difference. Just a thought.
