Cricket Cricket is dishonest, sales reps lie ... often Internet

Cricket is not an honest company. Their sales reps lie ... often. They will say almost anything to get you to buy, or withhold info a customer ought to know (as I learned later when the phone wouldn't tether and I sent it back and they began telling me on the phone it can take up to 30 days to have the refund issued .and that it's posted on the web site. surprise surprise). Teh sales rep said the discounted price of the phone was for Black Monday only but later that night, it dropped $20. The next day it was still at that price. It's been almost two weeks and the phone is still being sold at the lower price.

Since Cricket would not honor the lower price I decided to not open the box and to send it back (to refuse the shipment). I called Cricket and told them I would be refusing it and the rep said there was a pre-paid shipping label in the box and to give the phone a try and if I didn't want it I wouldn't have to pay to return it. So I accepted delivery since I really did want to tether my PC. There was no return label in the box. The Official Cricket reply I then received? Cricket doesn't put return labels in the box. Had to pay $14 to return the phone and since I opened the box, it now might take 30 days or more before they have to give me a refund.

I then spoke with a supervisor who assured me Cricket would add the return shipping cost to my refund. He failed to follow though, for I called the next day to make sure it was noted on my account and no one knew anything about it.

I asked where I could access my invoice online ans was told customers can't do that. Is that legal and why don't they tell the customer this? The customer also can't access any refund info. I was repeatedly told to keep an eye on my bank account.

Spent 3 hours on the phone with tech support, no one could figure out how to tether this Ascend II to my PC. In truth, Cricket, is the worst company I ever had the displeasure of doing business with and I will be making a report to the BBB and other avenues as well. When I finally get my refund I will only buy from a retail outlet, no more of this online stuff.

As the saying goes, {"Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me."

Be smart, be wise ... stay away from Cricket.
